I've been practicing partial suspension but I'm a little stuck. I'm using a necktie that's roughly 1.5 metres (4 feet 11 inches) long. I tie a knot around one end and tie the other end to a hook on my door that's roughly 1.83 metres (6 feet) from the floor. Here's the confusing part. I've tried different locations of putting the noose both well above, slightly above, well below, and slightly below my Adam's apple. I then kneel down and push down with my neck. Sometimes I will start to feel a little light headed and I can kinda feel the blood trying to reach my brain but that's all that really happens. I see people saying they lose consciousness within about 10 seconds but I kneel there for at least 30 plus and nothing really happens. When I stand up I can feel the blood rush to my head and I get a little headache and if I look in the mirror my face is reddish and my eyes a little bloodshot but that's it. Is my knot too loose, too tight? Etc. There's also a sprinkler in my room ( at a dorm) that I have managed to tie the necktie to. It's not high enough for full suspension but I tried bending my knees, but the same thing happens again where I feel a little light headed but nothing happens. Any information would be appreciated.
