Isn't that propylene glycol you're thinking of?

With the right medication or chemical substances, it's probably pretty easy.
However, I would recommend you to properly inform yourself about it, even if you would get a seemingly appropriate answer here.

propylene glycol is also used in antifreeze but is slightly less toxic than ethylene glycol I think

Renal failure is very painful by itself, and I would definitely not recommend it either. But Ethylene Glycol will speed up kidney failure. Plus pure ethylene glycol is actually very sweet, that is why bitterants are added to discourage people from drinking it
