I mostly want to keep other people safe, period. I can't stand the idea of putting other people, possibly children, in danger. So, no, jumping from a freeway overpass or a building, for example, does not work. I could put someone else's life in danger, and yes, that matters. Can you even imagine being the person who jumped from a freeway overpass and completely traumatized an entire family who was just headed off for a family vacation? Nope, not OK. I want to end my life in a way that does NO danger to anyone else. I also consider, always, the person that will find me. I'd prefer that person was a cop. So....this is why we think about this before we do it. How can we keep others safe? I have no suggestion other than shooting myself straight through the mouth and BAM. And doing so out in the "wilderness", of sorts, whatever that may be. Calling 911 right beforehand, or not. Bottom line, if we are going to kill ourselves, we must consider other people. We have to always consider others. Always. We are going to break someone's heart regardless, so let's do so as easily as possible. With the least damage.
