Anyone else tired all the time? I eat relatively healthily and have a (mostly) good sleep cycle, but I'm still tired all the time. I'm sure my brain injury and anxiety help making it worse. Just tired of being tired. And the cold makes me more tired, winter is not good for me

Ah, a colleague! Me, always tired, been having sleeping problems for years. Tried benzo"s, meditation, weed, a sleep clinic...nothing until now seems to work. I just wake up after 3 hours. Looking like a zombie, but I'm kind of getting used to it..

Tired yes, although it has been mostly my fault lately. Have had a really lazy spell these past couple of months. Chronic fatigue isn't something that's difficult to cure for most as long as you have $250-500 spare, less is more and negation can be creation.

If you had brain injury, that might explain a lot. I'm in the same boat, I have brain damage from hypoxia, and one of the consequences is chronic fatigue. No dietary or lifestyle changes help with being tired all the time, unless you count consuming copious amounts of caffeine as a dietary change. I feel for you buddy, sorry you're dealing with it.

Hey, mine is hypoxic too! Just out of curiosity, how long were you without oxygen, and how far are you in recovery? I was 42 minutes without oxygen and because of that, I lost almost all my memories. It was spring 2017 so I'm still in recovery. I know it's a very delicate topic, so you don't need to reply if you don't want to

Wow, 42 minutes is a lot! Must be tough on you! I was lucky to retain my memory, so mine must've been shorter. I don't know the exact time though, no one told me. Mine also happened in 2017, except in summer, and I am still in recovery as well.
Wish I had some effective advice for you to help with fatigue, but sadly I don't. There is a plenty of advice online, but I think it is not applicable to you (or me) because your tiredness isn't caused by eating too much sugar or having a poor sleeping cycle, and has a much more serious cause instead. I guess it might get better with time? I'd suggest just moving into bed and living under a blanket until next spring, but I know it's not a viable option for most.

I know how you feel. I have a serious disease and I'm constantly exhausted. Last Saturday I had breakfast and slept. Then I had lunch and slept again. I slept all night too but just can't shake the tiredness. It doesn't help that insomnia hits me like a bag of bricks sometimes. I don't know how it's possible to be so tired and still alive.

Wow, it's great that you managed to still remember things. Did you have to re-learn how to walk, talk, eat etc? Or are you higher functioning? Sorry I'm curious, it's just nice to meet someone who has had similar issues to me, it's pretty rare.

And thank you, I just bought a book about chronic fatigue, so I'll see whether anything it says could be useful. Thankfully I'm not as tired as I used to be. And if we could hibernate, that would be amazing

I had to relearn a lot too. I was lucky to be able to talk, albeit with a slur, but I had to relearn how to feed myself, get dressed etc. I also relearned to walk, I still have balance issues, use a cane and fall a lot.
Hibernating would be lovely, too bad humans don't do that.

I forgot about the slur! It sounded as if I had anaesthetic in my mouth. Yeah, my balance isn't the best either and I've learned to rise my feet higher when walking as it used to be a miracle when I didn't fall over for a week. I also look at the ground most of the time when walking, although that means I can't take in my surroundings as much as others. I always wanted a cane, but my physio refused as they didn't want me to rely on it
