No life, no suffering

He was found.
I think most of us are aware of the kind of "help" he's going to get now. Assuming he's not hurt and he's a sane person (at least by our standards), first he will be locked in a terrible place for truly crazy people and treated like a criminal, then slowly chemically lobotomized with meds used for treating a perfectly normal display of emotions so he becomes docile and easier to control like the good wage slave society wants him to be. Poor guy...

Death is a natural part of life..

Hopefully they don't force him to go through too much before they release him back to normal life.. If he is really suffering in life and dead-set (get it?) on ending his misery in this life then he will inevitably attempt some thing again, hopefully with better luck from the first attempt, and with some lessons learned too..
I'm not sure which method of leaving a message he used, but if he texted or emailed his parents then they would have been notified immediately and started the hunt for him right then..

I think this story can provide 2 lessons we can take away from this:
1: Try to leave a note in a place where they won't immediately be tipped off that some thing urgent is wrong, because there is obviously a window of time where you are still alive between when you leave a note and when you ctb.. (unless you can find some way to delay some type of digital message to not be sent until later)..
2: Probably not best to go off in to highly trafficked places after you leave notes, because for all you know some one has already found a note and have called the police.. You basically want to vanish for all intents and purposes after you leave notes, if you can..

Notes don't have to be left out in obvious places.. They don't have to be found immediately..
If you live on your own, you could just leave a note in your house and family will eventually come in to your house and check on you and find the note..
If you live with family, you could put the note under your bed pillow, or some where else that they won't check for immediately but that they would eventually uncover after you haven't come back home for a while and they start wandering around your room looking for clues..

Yup, sadly... I feel sorry for what's about to happen to the guy. Wouldn't be surprised if he comes out wanting to die even more.

If he's clinically depressed, or has some other mental disease, I'm glad he was found, and can receive help.

This is exactly why we people on this forum can't find anyone to talk to about our feelings in real life. All you'll get is "professional help" aka being restricted of your freedom and being asked stupid questions.

So I'm thinking that was just a cry for help.
Maybe the help he is getting actually IS what he needs.
but i still feel sorry for him!

Some people do better after being stopped from suicide, usually if they're young. Taking a few antidepressants and a week long stay in the hospital won't be that bad.

Some people do worse. He can always try again. But he might also be thankful later on. It depends on his situation.

As the poor lad is in the Uk he doesn't have to fear the same things you guys in the states seem to have to deal with.

I really hope he gets whatever help he wishes or feels he needs, but like i said this is the Uk so sadly any chance will be lost by a system that is underfunded, understaffed & just plain unable to cope with an ever rising workload.

It really should be a national scandal the way young people are unable to access help that could change the path of their lives before things become intrenched, but no one really gives a toss till it turns out the'd ended up on this forum.

Sorry but we really are a stupid country, we allow our own government to screw us over, make us poorer then convince us it's someone else fault (The Eu)
We allow a whole generation to suffer the stress of schools, endless exams, bulling, peer pressure, abusive parents, the whole online crazy world & then blame places like this for their deaths, rather than see how their kids were let down by their own government.

Just two examples, it's crazy how easily we are duped. Sorry wandered off there a little.

This is how I feel. It's not a given that treatment will make him worse and it's not given that he'll want to attempt suicide Again. Obviosuly I hope he gets well.

I don't think we are duped, just controlled by governments that keep us from revolting, because they have enough power, and enough money to kill everyone who would join a revolution. Wealth has power.

Truth betold, the worst part about being in the U.S., if he were there, is that when he gets home from the hospital after a week stay, he then has to argue with his insurance company on the phone (which is already embarrassing enough) as to why they should pay for his $10,000 week-long hospital visit. How sad was he? Did he really need it? Maybe medication and counseling would have been better (according to the insurance company). If he's lucky, he'll only have to pay $2,000.

It's the reason I avoid the hospital anymore even if I need it. On top of the whole ordeal, the last thing I need is $2k minimum more of debt when I get home.

Not to mention, with trump as president, everyone seems to have had a little bit of him rub off. Nobody cares about anyone. Or left-leaning people act like they have all the answers, self-righteous beyond belief. They can put on an act but they don't care about other people more than anyone else does. Basically, everyone in the U.S. is as asshole now. But hey, we were already like this in the United States. Trump only brought it out in us. We were always self-centered and self-righteous. Visited Germany recently and it was a breath of fresh air. People were blunt, but they genuinely cared about you. There was no fake small talk. Only real, genuine talk. People were kind.

This land is turning into a self-centered shit-hole. Everyone thinks they have an answer with their political party but in reality nobody's helping. Everyone is only interested in themselves and what's best for them. Doctors were better in Germany too. Here they're only in it for the money. I'd like to see doctors make only $60,000 a year and still "care about helping people". They wouldn't be interested in the job.

I'll bet the "help" he will get is time spend in a psych ward, a bunch of meds he has to take, a very large bill, and in the end what does he come out being?
A happy man with no suicidal tendencies
nope that's what they want you to think

He will probably come out more suicidal and want to CTB even more
poor guy, he would've been better off CTB the first time and find the peace he deserved

Nobody cares about anyone.
Hit the nail right on the head.
The right tells you the are going to screw you.
The left tells you they want to help you, then screw you anyway, if they get elected.
The scheme of the two party system is to keep people on each side occupied fighting each other, all the while the politicians (both sides) are robbing you blind.
The only people who always make out are the wealthy, because politicians of both sides knows damn well who keeps their bread buttered.
We were always self-centered and self-righteous.
idk, when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's, it seemed like people cared a lot more about each other than they do today. When I got a job, I was dedicated to my employer, and my employer was dedicated to me. Now days, employers still expect dedication from employees, but doesn't give two shits about their employee's welfare.

I could believe this. I think the turn of the millenia, coupled with the rise of the internet (and subsequent addiction to it, keeping us inside) has made a huge difference. Millennials and gen Z have a problem in which some of us who spend too much time on the internet get too invested in our beliefs. When we get out into the real world, anyone who disagrees with us becomes an enemy. Baby boomers are their own shit show too but at least they could talk to each other even if they disagreed.

It became apparent to me when I went to a Japanese restaurant a while back. I, of a younger generation, sat down with a friend around the grill (hibachi style seats about 10 people around the grill). There were about three groups of millenials and two groups of baby boomers/gen xers and another gen xer sitting by himself. All the older generations talked when they sat down and said hello. Even one guy was blatantly rude about someone being vegan but they still had a conversation without a problem and had fun and laughed.

The three younger groups? Didn't exchange a word with each other. All stared at their phones and whispered to their friend they came with. Didn't even make eye contact with each other. We all sat at the restaurant for two hours without even saying hi or looking at each other's faces once. We all sat there, semi-comfortably scared of one another. Secretly judging but secretly insecure. How are you supposed to make a human connection if no one wants to make a human connection?

People don't realize it but for some of us, internet and cell phone addiction has changed us as human beings. It is America's next cigarette addiction.

@Liveandlearnagain
Ha, ha, I don't own a cell phone, never have, never will, for reasons you suggest.
My wife bought me one, I wouldn't use it. She finally gave it to our son.

I agree with everything you say.
When I go out and about, I see everyone with their head buried in their cell phone.
Next step will be to implant one in people's brains, so they don't have to carry it.
I agree that people are forgetting how to socialize.
Young people are not dating or getting married, birth rate is down and continues to fall.
Mass shootings on the increase.
Lack of socializing causes mental problems.
