There's this bridge I'm Interested with a highway below it. I'm not sure how high up it is, I felt that since there's concrete below it, it could work. There's also some very high buildings in a city nearby, there's a parking garage and it goes pretty high up, I could jump off that. Idk, just my thoughts. I've heard people surviving jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge so I'm concerned with jumping. It's been my ideal suicidw attempt for years, I've never actually done it because I'm impulsive and always have ended up doing something else.

It takes courage to jump...you are very brave, if you can do it...I am too much of a wimp, I could never jump...Also, surviving a jump, would be hellish...that's what puts me off...anyways, I hope you are able to do it successfully and find peace...

There is a jumping megathread. It should answer some of your questions. It's a good idea to find out how high these structures are. The recommended minimum height for jumping over land is 45 meters. You don't want to land on anything except concrete or asphalt or hard rock. While the minimum recommended for water is 76 meters. About 4% survive the GGB I've read.

I think when I'm ready I'll jump off the parking garage on the highest level. Just pavement underneath it so it should work. I'm excited for it, I feel weird being excited for my death and happy thinking about it. I'm planning to do it after I get out of work some night (I get out of work around 10-11) so there won't be as many people around to try and stop me

It's been my dream way of CTB for so long. I'm really fixated on it. I love the idea of jumping.

I'll def check ahead of time

I hope I don't sound like a bitch but if you do jump I hope you don't survive because honestly you'll be in so much pain you'll try to kill yourself again and it will be harder to do it disabled.

No that's not bitchy, If I jump I definitely hope I don't survive. I'd rather be dead than a vegetable

the absolute bare minimum is 10 stories (you really should aim for 15+ for closer guarantee). Unlikely that a parking garage is that high tbh.

Hi there!
Look, I could tell you it's probably not the best method after I failed some years ago and ended up in ICU for one month plus over a year recovery.. Truth be told, it wasn't the best planned attempt, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone unless you're very sure of what may happen after. Anything below 12 stores is no warranty, and even more doesn't count as failproof...
Hugs

I definitely am very interested in jumping, I've been fantasizing about it since 12 when I started becoming depressed. I might take a trip to Boston (which is the nearest biggest city) and jump there. I know it's a stretch but it'll be worth it in the end

you also need to make sure you don't have the possibility of landing on someone. even if they were in, say a car, you'd very likely kill them.

I feel you, standing there is a real life-changing experience, for me at least. You are standing between the worlds. You can go into any direction within seconds. A few moments of pure adrenaline and the chance to literally move one step beyond. The move of falling as giving up the fighting and the control, just let nature leads you back to earth.

it looks less than 10 to me. also fence on the top, so you're going to be one floor below and looks to be surrounded by grass. imo too risky.

I was thinking of renting a hotel room and jumping out the window of the room. I have to find a tall building though

its difficult. a lot of bridges have fences and cameras and/or don't allow pedestrian traffic. which means you'd have to stop in a car and get out. (bridges into water is also risky, you need to be higher) getting to a high enough roof in a random city in a random building is going to be hard as well. there's some natural occurrences like cliffs that i've looked into, like yellowstone, the gap, preikstolen norway, niagra falls, etc. but its money to travel and these places also usually have security/patrols.

I do have a car, so if I'm quick I can probably stop, get out and jump without interference

If you want to jump, a cliff might honestly be better. I remember my uncle taking me to Fall Creek Falls, a beautiful waterfall in Tennessee. There are no railings, and people have fallen/jumped before. 100% fatality rate.

I love the idea of jumping myself.
Fall backwards and you are guaranteed death from that height.
To get to the roof act normally and ask the receptionist to let you up there so you can take a picture for a class project. :P
And for the parking garage, get as high as possible. Every extra inch counts.

I don't know what else I could have access to, I think the garage could work. But I def need to look around some more
