Would it be a good method to jump on the rails ? I guess it would be rather painless ?

...like, of a train?
Don't. The driver will be scarred for life as will anyone else who saw.

I live in a city with a lot of trains. I've contemplated it time and time again but the noise, vibration, and adrenaline of it all would likely cause some survival instinct to kick in, and you'd run off the tracks. Also, it would be too messy. If you don't care about that + scarring people, also consider the consequences of failing. Be safe.

Maybe I'm dumb but I think a lot of trains are automated now? So with luck whoever is potentially supposed to be there to take over if automation fails won't even be paying attention

It's messy and its traumatizing to people you've never met... probably not the best way to ctb.

You'll traumatize many people. You might end up severely injured too.
