• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

English is not my native language, there may be mistakes
How I wish I could gather a lot of people and die together. Everyone gathers and, for example, drinks this salt. Gradually dying and not worrying that you are alone and that you can survive, because someone else will help you if something happens. There was a similar case in the NHK manga, maybe someone has read it. There the guys found each other on the Internet to commit suicide, sailed to the island and suddenly changed their minds. Everything ended "well".

Of course, I'm not calling for anything and I'm unlikely to do it. Just thinking out loud. Does this idea seem crazy to you?

Kinda crazy, not gonna lie. How are they supposed to "help" you? I feel like it's the opposite. If only one of them has SI and calls for help, then all of you will be saved.

I don't think if this is good idea after Jim Jones and Heaven's Gate suicide, this could trigger so called "cult experts"

Hmm, yes. A person who would simply call the paramedics could really come in there. Help in the sense that you could finish what you started, despite your possible fear.

I remembered him too. But this is something completely different, people gathered here only to help each other leave this life, without any religious overtones or great idea
It's basically the same as finding one partner, but in this case there will be many of you

I agree, but there is no way that I live somewhere were that could be set up :(

If you read Ryunosuke Akutagawa's suicide note, he mentions how he asked a woman to do a double-suicide with him, but decided not to and was able to get the courage to do it on his own. While I agree with him that having someone else committed to CTB would make it easier to gain courage for, I think his reasoning that not having one gives you more freedom is a nice benefit to being able to do it on your own. It will definitely take more time to get prepared and comfortable though.

You may be able to tell I like NHK from my profile picture :))

I see, but they could think it is connected

Yes, I read that and remembered it too. Apparently, it would be worthwhile to chat for some time in a certain chat and gather those who are completely ready. But there would obviously be a risk that someone would jump off or panic later
I see, but they could think it is connected
We discuss in advance why this is being done. Simply to help all of us who need it die

Remember that after you die, you have no influence on what is being said or thought about aspects of your death. People love to build craziest theories and no matter how much you will discuss the purpose of this meeting. There always will be someone digging for "hidden truth" behind your "mass demise", no matter if there actually was one or not.

As for the initial question - maybe not "in group" put i'd love to have someone to hold me during my last moments and ensure that my dying will go smoothly. Unfortunately can't see that happening as it would require tremendous amount of trust on both sides and i don't have such person in my life.

I don't care what people think about it. I'm just interested in the idea that a group of people gathers together, where everyone trusts each other, somehow spends time before they die, and then all commits suicide together

Trust - that might be most difficult part of this plan. Finding ONE person trustworthy enough to share suicidal ideas with and expect help in dying seems like nearly impossible task and a group? I don't think it's gonna happen. But i wish you luck in trying.

No, no. I won't implement it. I enjoy theorizing about it and coming up with how it would be

just read the title and first post and wanted to talk about that. given the times we are in, this could lead to very ill intentioned (I don't think you are OP) copycats and fuck knows what else. in theory it's great, bc deep down, how many of us would choose to not be alone if that was an viable option? but in practice, could ultimately hurt the Right to Die cause.

but but but given the world political climate (feels bad!) I have absolutely thought about this, not gonna lie.

The more people there are the more likely someone backs out and calls the police or something

Well, imagine that you didn't have to spend a lot of money on a trip to Switzerland for euthanasia. But you just came, gathered and died together. Of course, someone can contribute for pills and the same sn

Yes, unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to avoid this

I think yeah, in theory, it's a great idea but i'm thinking big picture in regards to access to the right to euthanasia overall. unfortunately in our world, these mass events don't necessarily shed a good light on those that participate or of us that are pro choice in general. no disrespect meant! šŸ«¶

But the problem is that you shouldn't avoid it. People may sincerely regret attempting to do it, and that's okay. What are they supposed to do? If they already drank the poison, or if they are having a panic attack, they will call for help. Or even worse, they could CTB anyway due to peer pressure. Or what happens if one of the people you "trust" gets upset to them?

This is okay as a fantasy, but it's a terrible idea as a serious plan. Suicide is something extremely personal. If you want to do it with your SO, okay, I can understand that, but you can't do something like this and expect to go well. Even if it's not a cult, it's an echo chamber.
