during taking shower i had a strange idea.
are there websites who are specialised in offering jobs for people who are struggling?
would maybe take off some pressure and would avoid this "present yourself from your best side" crap.

Not that I'm aware of unfortunately.

In my years I've noticed an alarming trend that mirrors the rest of society.

When I graduated university, you got a job by applying directly to the company you wanted to work for, calling the person who would potentially be managing you and attempting to strike up a rapport. Then applying by CV and letter. It worked, if you had determination, ability and weren't a fuckwit.

Now *sigh* everything is done by online application forms and very often by third party 'employment agencies.' All online. You never even know what company you are actually applying to and there is no personal interaction. The job agencies give not one shit about you as it's the companies that pay their wages to select candidates.
This means that if you don't fit the bill on paper, you are fucked, pitted against countless younger, better qualified people who can barely tie their shoe laces let alone do the job advertised.
It's ironic, these employees fail and then the company re-enlists the agency again (hahaha) to find another idjit to fill the role, completely sidelining the people who could actually do the job. Gods forbid they got the job, then the agency would be out of work! What's ironic is that the companies can't see that they are being taken for a ride.

This is also the system that the Job Centre in the UK uses.

Sorry, /rant. Anyway, the economy here is collapsing, soon there will be no work save essential core workers' jobs.

crazy thing - this trend seems to happen everywhere. some completely useless business models which sound good on the outside, but are in reality harmful for the public good, only that some douches can fill their pockets.

Yeah, past thirty years, the rise of middlemen, selling you a product you actually don't need. Symptomatic of a very broken and gullible society.
It's no different to a long con.

I think it's a great idea!

I wish someone had the resources and passion to start such a portal. Although, I must say, it would be quite a big project which would probably require governmental funding and contacts with private and public companies that are willing to hire "people who struggle" as you put it.

thanx. lack of good ideas was never my problem. ^^
self-doubt just mostly made it impossible to even start to work on one of them.
