Neat clipping mechanism I've been fucking with is the idea that I am not human and instead some sort of automaton or robot and any time I have to be around people I shut down to only my most primal functions to save myself from ever interacting with someone

I'm sorry. It sounds like this is a very difficult experience for you.

I can say as a diagnosed autistic who has known many other autistics, both diagnosed and undiagnosed, that feelings similar to this are very common among us and it definitely sounds like autism.

Not that autistic people are a monolith nor is any experience universal.
