I go tomorrow to see the cardiologist to see IF and how the heart problem will be treated. Honestly, I am not stressed about it either way. As I get older (I'm 60 now), I know that the will slowly start to fall apart. Maybe I'll just help it along to its inevitable demise?

It's not uncommon. I have it too at the same age. It's a generic term that covers a multitude of things.
Prostate issues is another fun thing too.

If don't mind my intrusion, I have a question for the experienced. I'm little over half of your age (36).

Would you say society, culture, people, were better and healthier 30 years ago?

I know it was, I guess? I want a sense of dimension, as I saw the speed of the decay increasingly faster each year from my teens until now.

Sometimes I think if I had been born way earlier, I would have found purpose in life. Or at least enjoyed more the cultural aspects of it.

Sorry, but I have no way of telling whether people were generally healthier years ago. I might say yes, but then advances in medicine has had an incredible impact on that idea.

I'm sorry. I can only imagine how difficult it was for you to hear that. I realized from so many post, when faced with death, their thoughts of suicide becomes different. I'm sure we all would be happy to hear such a diagnosis, but I still can't imagine being faced with it. How are you dealing with this so far? I would highly suggest you take a friend with you for the prognosis and treatment phase. I'll keep you in my prayers

Yeah, once you hit 60, parts start falling off like you are an old car.

None of those (yet) although my brother does have the "prostate issues" thing. But once you get over 60, things start to pile up. Sometimes it feels like whack-a-mole, chasing them down.

I'm 54m, I have a few health issues of my own. Found out about 10 yrs that only half of my heart is beating properly, the other side is weak(thanks lyme disease). I have 3rd stage COPD, arthritis in my elbows and left hip, left ankle is nearly shot(and I want to do some hiking before I ctb haha)...

Surprised that my weakend heart and COPD combined hasn't killed me, but yet, sadly, I'm still here.
