There are basically only two things which society determines your worth or value upon.
First and foremost , how much money you earn.
And second how good you look like.

As for looks I am average looking and as for money I earn nothing as I am unemployed.

Instead of measuring your worth by how much of a good and kind person you are.

This fact of life is another reason why I want to catch that bus once and for all and leave this shallow, competetive, judgemental, unfair and cruel world forever.

You are absolutely correct. For others, kindness is far down on the list of importance.

Or humour. I can make my friends laugh till they cry but I don't have a double D.
I'm not bad looking, just don't have model looks. Yet I think making people laugh is like giving them a beautiful present.

There is some merit to those things.

It is important how good a person looks for example if someone is obese its a tale sign that they don't care about their own health.

If you have money you have value. Unintelligent and lazy people tend to not have much money.

Now im not saying being good looking or having money is the only indicator of a good person but it's just a in general statistic.

People are also very critical, particular, and rigid about people's looks also. You have to look good to most people in society based on society's ideals of what looks good.

I think I am pretty good looking. I would rate myself as about a 6.5. But according to most women, in their eyes and the eyes of society, I'm a 4 at best.

I think there are more people who value the right things then you expect, but not everyone is fortunate enough to be surrounded by them. We are products of our environment. Personally, for every shallow douche I've met, I can think of somebody who I appreciate.

Money and sex is what the media tells you to value, and unfortunately it works on a lot of people. Even the people who have all the money and partners in the world can lose it all, and only then will they realize they should of put stock in something that can't come and go, like personality and morals.

Money can't buy happiness, but it can sure make you comfortable while you're miserable. Money and sex is just a bandaid people worship because they don't want to expose their wounds and vulnerabilities underneath to the world.

Given those two metrics, then I'm a failure and garbage in this stupid society. I am currently a NEET, don't have a job or income, and also my looks are below average.

In general you can't have much control over how intelligent you are.

True but that's all on your parents then. Proper nutrition and cultural influence during child development is what influences intelligent the most.

You think? I dunno, it seems genetics is being linked more & more towards intelligence. Of course, in the right environment, an otherwise brilliant child can languish, but you can't make an inherently slow child into a genius.

Ofcourse genetics play a huge part (biggest part) but we can't control that nearly as much. Basically I'm saying what we can control if done to its best can make quite a impact on intelligence. There are plenty studies done on it. Cognitive development is impaired due to malnutrition and other external factors.

Now I understand what you're saying exactly... you meant that environment is the single biggest factor on the baseline intelligence the individual is born with. My bad.
