Ironically it's my dad's birthday tomorrow. I've not seen or spoke to him for months but he will be swinging by to pick up the presents I bought him. I'll give him a hug, I hope he hugs me back.

OMG, if you haven't seen or spoken to him for months and your frightened he won't hug you when you give him birthday presents, why give him the presents, lol at least make him work for them, hide them out of sight and don't mention them go in for the early hug and if it's OK give him the presents, if he doesn't hug you, wait until he asks for them, then say, you don't call or visit in months and you don't even hug me what kind of a father are you.
