I'm on this site, and have been for a few months now because I plan on ctb in the near future. But in the past few weeks I have had two notices of restrictions; one on my Facebook account, and then today on my Instagram. In both instances it was because of things I'd posted that they interpreted as encouraging people to shuffle off this mortal coil.😆

In both cases they're wrong. The first was a meme poking fun at 45's foolish notions about preventing C19. (It was a picture of a pill bottle, but it's labeled Clorox) The second I'm a little fuzzy on because the image they sent me of the meme is too small. But I can tell it's a meme of The Office episode where Michael gets on the roof of the building to demonstrate the effects of depression to his employees. Only the meme was making a joke on how bad 2020 had turned out to be. I can't read the small text, but Michael personifies humans and Dwight is 2020.

Oh, and both memes were posted two years ago. Heh, if they only knew. 😆🤦‍♀️

Both of those memes sound pretty funny. FB and IG have such a weird policy on what to block. Sure block witty memes, but still allow people to livestream their suicides? Hmmmm.

Facebook allows people to livestream their suicides? I've never seen one- but I haven't gone looking either. Not something I'd want to see. I suppose if it's a successful suicide, the person will never know their video was taken down, nor will they see the notice their account receives.

It's kind of funny to think of a dead person's Facebook receiving restriction notices. 😏

They don't "allow" it per se, it just happens. There have been many suicides live-streamed on Facebook (and YouTube), I think just about anyone can livestream, and it's too late by the time admins learn what's going on. The videos are always immediately removed but the damage is done, people tuned in and watched. I've seen murder suicides as well on live stream (recordings of the live stream). I read about a new one every so often in the news.

Oh I see. After I posted I remembered that I'd heard about those videos, but it was a few years ago. I guess I've been lucky that I haven't seen it.

In general I tend to not watch livestreams. The few times I've watched them, I usually get bored partway through, and leave.

I got banned today for delivering suicidal meme I got from FB to one of my friend's post. Seriously they suggest me to phone local authority for my friend's suicide post. What a joke.

FB can be ridiculous sometimes.

I got banned from Reddit for literally writing "sodium nitrite". The guy was split between two subpar methods and I simply suggested something better for his sake. Whatever lol

Did you post that publicly? I guess they (the admins) must've known that was a truly lethal method. Personally I'd never heard of SN until I found this place. But I was never good at science.🤷‍♀️
