its all too much and there's nothing left

I was chasing something that wasnt worth it in the end. It wasnt worth the effort I put it. I took longer putting in the effort then reaping my rewards. It wasnt worth it, it never was. Oh but Ill float back into the sea of black trying to forget it all. Finding myself in a deeper hole than what I was in. I fell through the hole at the bottom. It seems like they are asleep when we are awake. Yet we are more dead than they are alive. Cant you see it all around us. Its flying all around spirals up and comes crashing down again. Like waves to the water that wont give up. How long can we keep doing this. Pushing ourselves up again. Just so we can tumble over. How long. Oh how long does this need to go on. It never was. It never will be, like we thought. It will only get worse and worse. And then what. Until we wont have to push ourselves but it Right over the cliff of dreams and regrets. We wont remember how it felt like. Because there was no memorizing. We never remembered before we were born. Or had we... So hopefully we wont have to remember cause what it felt like wont be memorized.
We wont get it memorized. Oh how much I wished Id forget. Or not even give thought to. Like when we were kids ,curious. I didnt give thought to. But it seemed as though it wanted to be seen. To be thought about. Like nature showing face, saying I never thought you would be any different than anything at all. I know I know myself, nature never forgets and keeps it memorized never remembered. I wish but what good is a wish when all there is. Is what is in front of me... oooh oooh the beautiful strums of sound piercing its way through, to you, to us, not to give meaning, but to remember it. And we remember.
