Okay, so currently I have N in a locked suitcase in a 'cool' dark wardrobe. But in preparation for the heatwave that's bound to happen I purchased a mini fridge to have in my bedroom. However, I have one major problem security... there's no way to lock the fridge.

Can anybody think of a solution to this so if parents open door then they won't see Nembutal? Is there some mini fridge out there that has a security lock? That's under £70 as a maximum price. I could return fridge currently have if that's the case.

Or could put the bottles in a secure bag and put the bag in the fridge? But that would still raise questions I think.

Just as a side note - I don't have a definite ctb date yet. So changing bottles would be a bad idea right? If it won't be a problem it could solve my security problem.

What about a cooler? You could tuck it in a corner somewhere and it'd also be easier to put a lock on. You'll probably have to keep switching out ice packs unless you get an electric one though.

Wouldn't a locked refrigerator pique your parents' curiosity? It sure would mine. Can you put the bottle of N inside a milk carton or something normal like that?

Depending on the size of the N bottle, you could put it inside one of those "diversion safes". The ones that look like soda cans but have a screw top lid. They sell them at head shops.

I'll look into this idea. Thank you.

True. Thanks for pointing that out to me. A parents curiosity can be very dangerous!

As two of you have mentioned it. Is it okay to change the bottle the Nembutal is in when I don't have a date to ctb yet and the N is pretty old?

I think what @Soul and @ArtVandelay refer to is putting the sealed bottle of N inside a can safe.
I would strongly suggest that you don't open the sealed bottle unless you want to ctb.

Yes and it might last even longer. And that's the point. It might.
If you open the sealed bottle you will introduce all kinds of uncertaincies. That's why it's sealed. To keep it stored safe.
Most people on this forum will prefer the failsafe way over introducing risks which can lead to failing ctb.

A week is certain though idk how much longer after that you never know

Most people order 2 and just open 1 to test anyway. No cases of 1 bottle failing to kill you just takes A bit longer

i thought the bottle had a rubber stopper in underneath the metal cap. Sure I read somewhere that to test it you can push a syringe through the rubber stopper to extract some. This then keeps the bottle sealed I think.

I think you misinterpreted some information. I will cite from the current PPeH:

Page 369:
"It is best not to disturb the seal on the bottle until it is needed.

Do not break the seal or decant the liquid into another container as this will expose the drug to the air. Store the original bottles in a cool dark place."

Also Page 345:
"The bottle should only be fully opened (by breaking the seal and removing the rubber stopper) when the drug is either ready to be used or it is to be discarded."

Well ur right I guess I'll fail my ctb since i have 2 bottles but one is 80ml and opened? I've opened it twice for like a 12 second duration. 3 days since I opened. What u think?

While it's best to keep the Bottle unopened.
Opening the bottle just makes the liquid non - sterile ( which doesn't matter to us ) it will still be good for a long time.

c'mon Grey, sometimes is difficult to get what you want. You want N in your fridge in your bedroom, and hidden so that it may not rise questions.

Well depends on your parents and who are they? Are them the type of who asks questions? if yes, then I really dont know how to make N invisible....

I guess you a little young, or dont live independent at least. thats ok, we all have been there.... keep them in the dark cool place, whatever heatwave cant be that bad.... and if it is... well the fridge, but they will ask questions...

I dont see how you can empty or change the bottle....(plus is not recommended)

I just wrapped them down with black plastic bag, Tape, put my name on it, and store it in the fridge. but then again, im not living with my folks.

you dont have to refrigerate N do you?

No refrigeration required. And actually, keeping the glass bottles in the fridge comes with the risk of the glass shattering from possibly getting too cold.

A cool, dark place is fine. Doesn't have to be refrigerator-cold. I stashed mine, when I had it, in a cloth garment bag in one of my dresser drawers. In summer, with air conditioning, the room never got too hot. Too much heat again risks the glass shattering and/or deterioration of the potency of the N.

Also, these N bottles can be re-labeled if one is crafty enough. Just a thought, in case anyone is afraid of the bottles being seen and questioned.
