This forum is relatively unknown and our privacy has to be the upmost thought in our minds (Hope everyone has vpn) but our members are disappearing and we cant honour them. Normal life people have funerals etc where they have the opportunity to make some gesture. Is there not something we can do? Something along the lines of everyone release a balloon at the time of ctb that we know of? Or tie a ribbon round a tree or something. Just a mark of respect and the person who ctb's will know that at that point in time there is hundreds maybe thousands of yellow balloons being released for them and they just might feel loved in their final moments. I'm probably being stupid and it probably makes no difference but with the stigma attached to suicide something like this which shows our support just seems right. What does everyone else think?

I dont think its a bad idea. Nor is it stupid, I'm just unsure of what we could all do to honor the members who caught the bus.

I'm sure if we make a petition to allow users to choose how their profile will honored after their death that garners enough votes, the administrators are more than willing to do implement such a feature or the moderators are more than willing to make edits to one's profile. It would be a great thing if there was just a single person in the world to honor one's request before dying (even if (s)he was an Internet stranger).
