Is there anything that calms you when you're in a rough patch, but can't ctb yet?

In my case, it's water.

I have an area near me that I go to which has a stream and a waterfall. Also watching the rain come down, and if it's foggy out, it makes it that much better.

I don't know what it is about streams, creeks or rivers, but it always seems to calm me down.

Nature is good, I used to climb a hill and walk in the forest. Shower helps a tiny bit too. Sleeping also...

I have a friend i try to chill with from time to time. He doesnt know i want to ctb but he knows his presence calms me so whenever i feel down or lonely ill throw him a text and see if hes busy. He usually is but every rare once in a while i get a night where my mind is relatively clear and relaxed. Its very therapeutic.
