Guilt is the main thing holding me back and it's hard to get through with it. My method of choice is sodium nitrite. I read it leaves the lips blueish. Will this happen no matter what?

How can one make suicide look like an accident with this method?

Any insight is much appreciated

@Throwaway563078 , I may be wrong but it was my impression that a lot more than the lips could look ble after a lethal OD. I wouldn't know what to do about that.

'How can one make suicide look like an accident with this method?' I'm sorry, I don't have any answers to that question.

Your body will have a blue tint. No, you cannot make this seem like an accident.

I believe they will be able to find it in the blood during the autopsy.

I wish. The only stories I've seen were a long time ago or in places where people had SN around the house....it isn't something I usually keep around....so I'm not sure...

Please consider the possibility of leaving a kind and forgiving note for your loved ones to cope better. I don't want to push it (forgive me for that)...but I think it's important.

If you still want to make it look like an accident, your best bet is shallow water blackout which you can research in this forum.

Unless you have a butcher as an enemy or work with fish, I don't see how it can be an accident.

I agree with previous replies....On slithly different note - I was wondering, if they find a blueish person how long it takes them to realize what s going on, what was ingested...I wonder one is not dead yet, and they are to come up with specific antidote for SN. If its obvious for them whats going on, cuz its not that common

@NoOneKnows , methylene blue is the obvious treatment for symptoms of nitrite poisoning.

They would know from the start its oxygen deprivation or similar and administer oxygen. As soon as they see blood they will know how to treat it, they dont even need to know its SN.

There have been incidents of people taking SN by accident thinking it was salt.

They dont need to know its SN to treat methemoglobinemia they will be able to treat that and will be obvious as soon as they see your blood.

Thank u

I think if they manage to get to yoj in time then your pretty safe. No one has said it but im sire there has to be a moment where rescue is possible but brain has been deprived of oxygen so much that there is damage. Its not a switch that you hit at say 1 hour in thats dead or alive with no brian damage.
I think if your found though chances are they will be able to reverse it all. Its a slow process when you think about some other ways of ctb.

Ive read it can take anywhere from 15-45mins to pass out. With death following an hour or two after.
Id like to think its on the shorter end of the scale but there is a lot of different reports out there.

Your hemoglobin is very gradually converted into methemoglobin. In other words, the quantity of oxygen that is supplied to your brain is gradually decreased. With other methods, say choking yourself, you go from "100 to 0" (not sure if it's actually zero) almost instantly.

As far as making sn look like an accident, there is always the sn in the saltshaker trick, of course dont leave a note. A few glasses around with salt "sn" on the rims (margarita) should tip them off to check the salt, keep the salt in a weathered old sandwich bag marked (salt) it must look convincing like its been laying around the garage for years.

I remember reading a case study of accidental overdose of 3 men who used it thinking it was normal salt. Cant seem to find it now and dont know if it was fatal.

Thank u

None of the ncbi reports ive read has ever indicated brain damage and all seem to agree that a full recovery is likely. This method when combined with meto and tagamet renders you unconscious very quickly there have been live blogs here and they are not able to respond after 2 posts a few minutes apart. The only way this method fails is if you are found and "saved" or call the ambulance before you pass out.

thank you for response. I hope thats the case. Do you mean people consumed SN being live on the internet, and after 2 msgs were not concsious to respond. To NCBI reports I dont really trust them , they are for medical practitioners focused on methods to describe the conditions etc...but for sequelae I dotn find them much helpful, as I ve been through severe Amytript OD and I ve had experienced all teh things that been considered rare to occur, and other conditions not mentioned at all (i ve done 3 years of exhaustive study on AMyt OD, read it all, books, all researchs, etc)...I do think they are careful what they put out.

I remember that case, its either somewhere on the sn megathred or one of the other numerous sn threads. Thats the one where they moved into a new place and used salt from a sandwich bag or something. Which was mislabled as just salt. Most of the accidental metb info comes out of foreign countries where they harvest and preserve there own meat.

The only way I can think of is after taking the SN and before going unconscious, somehow drown yourself as signs of deep cyanosis is consistent with drowning. That said, it could be a logistical nightmare.
