If one were to take 18mg of clonazepam and as much trazodone as possible with a good bit of some strong(33%+) alcohol, would that be enough to keep the person from waking up? If not, what if they used a bag of some sort to limit oyxygen intake while unconscious? How long would it take a person to breathe through the oxygen in a 10-gallon bag, and how long without oxygen would it take for the brain to die completely? Would carbon dioxide build-up in the blood be able to wake a person in such a sleep?

I suggest Googling the meds with "overdose," "alcohol," etc. I do not believe this is a fatal method, you're likely to end up in the hospital.

It does not take long at all to start hyperventilating in a 32-gallon trash bag, less than 30 seconds, and it is a horrible feeling, even with something to keep the bag off your face (a hat with a bill is one recommended method, I used a colander over my face). SI kicks in extremely quickly! That's why using a gas is recommended, to overcome the lungs registering the lack of oxygen and struggling to take in air, which sets off the SI panic. I suggest Googling exit bag method.

I don't really have the money or know-how to find another gas to use. I was thinking a hat-bill to keep the bag off my face, and binding my hands in a way that could keep me from intervening. But I'd rather not wake up at all during the process. If I took everything before setting the bag up, shouldn't it be possible to put to bag over my head in time to fall asleep before feeling suffocated? And can the body still sense that it's being suffocated and wake up while unconscious to that extent? I desperately want to die.

I would suggest testing the bag to see how quickly the feelings of suffocation and panic happen. It's so fast.

Realistically I think you would have to have someone put the bag on you after you were asleep.

I'm so sorry you're feeling so desperate. Unfortunately it takes time to find a method that's right for you, that has the least amount of suffering, that you can tolerate, that you have the resources for, that you won't potentially get rescued from or seriously harmed by and end up in the hospital. You'll see on a lot of the threads here that people test methods first, I've learned a lot from testing, or trying a method and being able to quickly abort if needed. It's important to know for yourself what you're trying to do and what you can tolerate. I recommend the methods megathread; see listed there the hanging mega thread, you can read how many times people test to find the carotid, work on building up tolerance, etc.

If it were easy to ctb when one is desperate, there'd be a lot less people on this site - and in the world - right now.

Good luck finding a method and managing your feelings while you search. Feeling empathy, sending compassion.
