while success rate is what i mostly focus on, pain is also a big factor. thankfully, the painless method has the highest success rate if you do everything right.

Just wanting some peace

For me the most important factor would be a method that is guaranteed that leads to no more pain and no more suffering so finally I can be at peace from this cruel, dreadful existence that I always saw as a mistake and I wish I never suffered more than anything, all I want is true permanent peace and I always suffer so much from how painless ways to cease existing are denied for me so finally I can be free from the dreadful and torturous abomination of existence, all I want is to never suffer again.

I suppose hoped reduction of pain comes first but I think all the variables interplay really. I suspect hanging would be more painful and distressing than SN. But then, I'd consider hanging more if I knew it was 100% reliable. But really- none of the DIY methods feel 100% reliable.

I think the other major issue is accessibility. Who wouldn't choose nembutal if it was easier to access and, legal? There are maybe more peaceful, reliable and quick methods for many of us but, we might not want to risk breaking the law to get them.

I'm tempted by inert gas in terms of reducing pain but certain things about it trouble me. Obtaining and storing the equipment. Not hurting others. I think pain is a factor for a lot of people but, I think lots more comes in to play. And, we'll compromise here and there to accomodate.

In my view, pain is inevitable, but the stronger it is, the faster the method should work. In the end, what matters is the likelihood of success
