Was at my wits end and been planning my suicide for a month but I found a new psychiatrist bc my old one wasn't helping and was like hell I'll give this one more chance. I was taking Trintellix for a year and he immediately switched it to Celexa with no tapering. Upped my buspar to 3x a day and upped my Trazodone (was hoping he would just prescribe lunesta or something else that's an actual sleeping pill lmfao). Discontinued my Seroquel with no tapering. Psychiatrists rlly just be throwing shit at the wall and hoping it sticks. Keep in mind I chose this guy bc there is a lack of actual psychiatrists with MDs and he has 30 years of experience so I was like yeah this sounds good. But now it looks like throwing myself off a bridge plan is back on.

The one aspect that I have found through all the decades with medical, dental, anything to do with the human body is this: EGO and also that sometimes they think that they are like GODS, hum, NOPE to all those aspects.

I went to a new psychiatrist about a year or so ago, hardly got to her office, and she said, "let me be frank"! and boy did it go downhill FAST after that. We are ALL together in this and just because someone has a "degree" does NOT make them above you or me, NEVER EVER!

I have been on Celexa for about 10 years and I, on my own, started tapping off. It just does not have the bang anymore and the damn price!

It also seems, I wonder, if medical and drug companies are hand in hand, is it to help me OR fatten their comp plans?

You are an OUTSTANDING friend, and I hope and pray that you take a step back, I would HATE losing you, REALLY would, because of a doctor.

I have always been my own advocate from the get-go. Dumb? Maybe, HOWEVER, I was kicked out the day after I turned 18 by my "parents" with nothing but the clothes on my back, and I have learned from 1974 till now to go with my gut and to take EVERYTHING with not a grain, but a TON of salt.

Now days more than ever a person has to be their own advocate and YES, I have been kicked out of mental health places BUT looking back I would do the same all over again.

Be YOU and YOU ARE a beautiful shining light that I hope and pray is never extinguished.

Walter

You are very kind Walter. I should've spoken up, I guess. But I was afraid I would be dismissed. My mom was a victim of the mental health system and lost her life over it. I watched her go from psych ward to psych ward and I think I'd just rather end it before that becomes my fate and I become a financial and physical burden on my family.
