I'd look up the detail on one of the megathreads, but this does sound like it will be painful with a low mortality rate70 meters into water... is it painless?
I had a 60mph motorbike crash when a car pulled out on me, my bike was fused into the side of the car and i flew over it landing on my head on the other side , it was only painful 3 days later when i woke up , so no it wont be painful unless you wake up lolI don't see how all your bones being shattered and your internal organs bursting from the impact would not be painful...

70 meters into water, there's still a chance of survival. 5% of jumpers survived the Golden Gate Bridge. If I jump it's going to be from the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge in NM - 600', no suicide nets, zero chance of survival.
Depends on how you land.70 meters into water... is it painless?
IMHO, dramatic impact death like jumping, drowning, guns, hanging, etc...all are not INSTANT death. About time we hear about them, it's done, dead.
But from the second of impact to actual death can sometimes take minimal few minutes to hours, even days..
Yes during those times, YOU are SUFFERING..very thing that you wanted to avoid,
This is why more I research, inert gas is the ONLY option for me.
And add the fact that most of these options are done with little to no planning, impulsive, etc..which adds to failures and more suffering.
Damnit. Crossing guillotine off the list. For people who don't feel like reading the article above. It mentions that you are alive for 13 seconds after your head gets cut off by a guillotine... That doesn't sound like much but it might feel like an eternity if you are in agonizing pain... Now imagine CTBing in a way that lets your brain stay alive for 5 minutes or longer after your body has been mutilated...
Yeah, I had to cross that off my list along with a flintlock pistol and a crossbow.Damnit. Crossing guillotine off the list.
I get this feeling lol lol lol lolDamnit. Crossing guillotine off the list.
Just outside Taos.
I agree, I don't think there would be any way to control how you land. Maybe if you are a pro diver, but even then at that height wind and other variables would take effect.I think jumping is one of the best suicide methods there is.
You just have to find a height that is lethal in itself. "Make sure you hand on your head" is one of the stupidest advices i've ever heard, this isn't Tomb Raider 2, you don't have the control of Russian olympian gymnast, especially with the stress and panic. So you'd have to find a spot high enough to be lethal however you land.
