It's funny how I've ended up how my father said I shouldn't end up. He always pointed to a homeless person and said "If you don't study hard, you'll end up like this". I am officially worse off than all my classmates (got only 20 points; 6fs and 1 E and as a result, didn't get a HS diploma)

I'm wondering what the experiences people here have of that.

Saldy it seems so.

I hate having to admit it. High school days were one of the worse moments of my life.

To be honest with the many ways this human life suprises us, you could not have a highschool diploma and be fine and suddenly need to change a job and the company for whatever reason requires you to show them your highschool diploma. You can have a great school experience and grades and even be a doctor and still have a hard time, Ive seen both especially that im in a school where adults come to finish school and tell me how their company for whatever reason required the highschool diploma and it would be very stupid for anybody to not have the highschool diploma "these days". Im preety sure not finishing school doesn't make anybody homeless but the system and its difficulty itself. So in summary its really important to have the highschool diploma (at least in Poland where its considered a must) but in reality anything can happen.

As a college student, I can confirm that this doesn't end at school. I'm sorry, but I need a time-out here.

Yea I had to go to summer school three times in the last few years of high school in order to graduate. This shook my confidence so badly that I thought I was doomed to poverty. That wasn't the only route out of poverty for a young woman but I didn't see a realistic view of what my options were so I did end up screwing myself and staying in poverty.

It only takes one mistake to relegate you to the bottom of the barrel for the rest of your life. All the education in the world would then be useless. So keeping out of trouble Trump's education.

Sadly,this is usually the case.

I may or may not end up graduating college, but even if I do so,I'll certainly never really be a Grade A student, just a mediocre or decent one at best. I don't have the passion for my subject to be an excellent student(and its kinda too late anyway,I'm almost done. I'm aware however that I could still screw it all up. I'm not safe till I've graduated),I do hope however that my dad has the connections to get me in a good position. I'm not striving for greatness. I don't give a shit about fame or glory,I just want a comfortable life and the ability to do whatever I want while working the least amount of hours.

I'm roughly in the same position. I want to be able to get myself a decent job to live out what remains of my life while I try to become strong enough to kill myself. My results can be best described as 'slightly above average' and thus all I'll get is an existence deep in a pool of mediocrity that makes me hate myself for existing. I'll just keep on going till I'm disgusted enough to overcome my survival instinct.

Nope. It might, but most of it relies on luck, whether you're smart or not and if you're charismatic. because believe it or not, Charisma plays a great part on how you survive. You also need to be determined, so if you're hanging around SS It might mean you're not.

My big brother has been chased from our home because he was a trouble maker, and he tried to hit our mom so she chased him. He was really shitty in highschool.
The guy left our country and went to work in switzerland with no degree, and with a big amount of luck he got lots of money from playing at casinos, and also worked hard and had lots of charisma. He has now a comfortable life, a very comfortable salary and a vry comfortable job that requires him to travel a lot in europe.
Not a single degree.

It is true for me. I'm not smart though. I doubt endless studying would have helped that much. I did get a diploma but it didn't make my life any better. :( I just didn't get things like everyone else.

My aunt is used to be a top Grade-A student all throughout her young life, now she's a complete loser with loony tendencies. Further proof that there's no guarantee in life.

I did not finish two educations yet made a load of money online. Enough to visit restaurants weekly and buy what I want, before my health got so bad it started to ruin everything. It was kind of a lucky hit, but get how online money is made now, it offers plenty of opportunities if you dont finish an education. Life can rob you of opportunities, regardless of having finished an education.

(if money/debt are the main reason you want to suicide, hit me up, can teach you how to make $$ with websites, happy to help someone before I go)
