Oof, but I get that. I almost got in trouble as a kid because my parents thought I was watching porn. I don't even associate the 2 but once I got older I remembered that and closed my eyes while an episode was playing and can see how they're similar haha

I read that like idk Tohru or something and she's listening to me arguing (with me as Kyo) with someone else about how we shouldn't always blame the parents. Tohru breaks up the argument, then closes her eyes and puts her hand to her mouth with a smile (like anime characters do), and says "meanwhile, I'm trying to think of any system! Religious..."

I feel like there's just a generic voice in my head that doesn't really sound like anything I could ever describe. It's just sort of "there" and I suppose represents the inner articulation of my own thoughts. It's just odd how it's a voice, but also not a voice. Again, I guess it's basically what you might call the essence of thought itself, but it's just strange how it carries a kind of "voice" all its own that plays out in my head in regards to each word I read, or type. Still, it's certainly funny how your brain can read anything you want in any voice you wish it to, but it's the sort of thing you kind of have to focus on, otherwise it's just the same old default mental "voice" that really only exists within one's thoughts.

I'm never quite able to place exactly what the voices of anything I read sounds like. Often for this site I give people a voice that suits their profile picture and if they don't have one that depicts anything with a voice I guess it just sounds like whatever my inner voice always sounds like.

I agree with @Mentalmick though. Anime voices are god awful even in the original Japanese. Japanese voice acting in general is stupid because there are so few actual people in the industry that the same five people could be every single voice in any given anime and they almost never even try at all to change their voice between characters. At least voice acting in the West is set to a higher standard where people usually actually have to be able to do more than one kind of voice. Of course, that doesn't apply to dubbed anime's because those just tend to have bad direction so it doesn't matter how many voices they can do.
