Are we really just apes formed by hundreds of millions of years of blind evolution, brought into the world by other delusional apes, just to die in the end anyway? I have always found existing to be an exquisite nightmare, and as each day passes and all my life experiences swirl together in my damaged brain, the truth becomes more and more apparent. It seems no one is truly happy unless they are deep in an illusion, ignoring 99 percent of the world in front of them. a world in which 999 baby turtles die for 1 to make it to the ocean, where lions eat zebras or they starve, where 80 billion animals are killed every year for human food.
The sheer momentum and velocity of life, we are all swept up in this relentless current of going and doing and being. simply being human requires nearly hourly upkeep to not become damaged, and one wrong move and you are damaged for life. On top of this nightmare is the reality of not being able to stop playing the game on my own terms (easily). Most people are so caught up in their own little world of daily self-harm that they couldn't fathom NOT playing the game. Or maybe they are scared that deep down they are just as terrified, and if they were given the option, they might stop playing too.
