Discussion is anyone spending Christmas Day alone?

This will be my first one by myself. I do have relatives to spend it with but I just don't want to. I am very ill and just have no energy.

This is not my first Christmas alone. But I wish it were the last. I have several relatives, but I prefer to stay away from them because they are toxic people. I have friends who always say I'm part of the family, but where are they now? They are having fun without me. Hypocrites. Thanks for the hug. A hug for you too.

I am wishing that I was alone, because it takes so much energy to pretend that I am enjoying this! I've alienated everyone except for my husband, and I know that he really wants to be with his family, but he's slogging through until Boxing Day when he can go see them.

I'm going to be all alone. I was invited to spend it with relatives but I don't want to and I told them no. I'm probably just going to take extra meds to pass out so I'm not even aware of how sad I am.

Not really alone but i'm not that close to my parents so basically i spent the last 4 hours alone in my room watching the office. This year is the first time we don't go to my gandmas's house so its not a good xmas.

So now, here I sit, in a truck stop with maybe 10 other trucks, and room for about 50 more.

It's not my first time alone, I like being alone.

This is my first one alone in my entire life. But if I survive to see the next one it'll just be more of the same. I'm over the Holidays in general, I never want to celebrate one again.

All I can think about is my kids right now. I hope they're having fun opening their gifts and playing with them. I'm so upset that I can't be part of that and it's eating me up inside.

This is one of the positive aspects of not having a family. I know - some people here are sad about to be alone, I hope you get through this unscathed.
