• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

reading all the horrific shit he's doing and essentially becoming a dictator is making me feel hopeless for the future of America. so many angry, hateful people voted for that man and they still live around us. i'm glad i live in a blue state, but that doesn't fix things considering other women and lgbt people are suffering. trump even said that every blue state should be wiped off the map, which includes people like me. it's fucking tragic.

Its totally understandable. I don't even live in America but if I were to read the stuff thats happening I would get upset how others can view us and what they want to do to us. Its hurtful seeing this happening wherever in the world.

we're living in a dystopia essentially. he's passing laws that directly harm us, and millions of conservatives are cheering for it. not to mention he blew majority of our taxpayers' money on golf courses during his 1st presidency, i've seen people begin to worship Putin too and it's frightening the grip that propaganda has on these people.... like Nazi Germany all over again except conservatives are continuously denying it's happening. i felt more calmer during Biden's presidency then i did now.

Not really, here in Britain I'm way too depressed at the state of our new government and what it's doing to have any misery to share elsewhere.

I'm not american so not really, I'm usually detached from current politics other than very few things that personally affects me.
I do not like the globalism things being pushed into my country of origin(Japan) and while trump are supposed to be the guy who are going to "stop the evil globalist" I don't think he is even going to do that. I think he is just posing as anti-leftist for popularity.
The force replacement of palestinian seems like crazy idea, but again it doesn't personally affect me.

It angers me more than depresses me. I'm from Canada and most of us have become incredibly pissed off by him repeatedly threatening our sovereignty and by the tariffs. It's to the point where even a lot of people from Quebec have been expressing their patriotism for our country. There are even a bunch of petitions going around that revolve around taking away Elon's Canadian citizenship and not allowing Trump to enter our country. Beyond that, I feel sorry for the Americans who are getting screwed over by him, though this sympathy only extends to those who voted against him. I don't feel sorry for Americans who voted for him nor do I feel sorry for Americans who didn't vote at all (with the exception of those who couldn't for good reasons, such as being in the hospital at the time).

I'm not sure what you mean by globalism being pushed into Japan. The greatest problem with globalization is the economic inequality that neoliberalism has created. The xenophobia it has generated is exploited by far right parties/conservatives to blame people and immigrants. Globalization/neoliberalism meant free movement of money, trade, goods and people. Ultimately it has been only the money that has moved easily which has created massive inequality as it has benefited a tiny few over the vast majority globally. Blaming immigrants and selling hate is something conservatives use to deflect attention away from the real economic problems. Scapegoating immigrants has an ugly history.

The fact is we live in a globally connected world and to solve humanities problems there needs to be cooperation, with climate change being a prime example. The global south will especially be affected by climate change and that definitely includes Japan. The future portends mass migration northward which will cause untold levels of global instability. An immoral, parasitic economic system being another problem that needs to be addressed globally. climate change also is the result of this corrupt zero-sum economic system (more, more, more).

The forced replacement and genocide of palestinians is also a global problem in that it reflects a nations morals when they don't take some sort of stance. Else this erodes global human rights and renews dangerous regressive precedents. I suppose should N. Korea/China (and Russia) attack Taiwan and maybe S.Korea and Japan, the global community should just shrug and say, crazy thing, but oh well.

But I can understand on a personal level focusing only on what affects you. But many Americans are realizing the election has had many negative consequences on people's lives. This includes some amount of conservatives who voted based on emotion and spite rather than the reality of what their choice meant. So many conservatives have been trained to parrot things like socialism is bad, meanwhile so many of them need medicare/medicaid, something conservatives and capitalists want to abolish. It is no surprise that red states are amongst the poorest in America.

It's depressing, yes. I'm lucky I wasn't born in the USA, but his politics will also hurt other countries. Besides, there are other trumpists politicians who are getting more popular in other countries.

I like my country. It's decent democracy despite everything (if we compare it at the rest of the world at least), and our leftist coalition was able to win the elections for second consecutive time against all odds. But the far right is still really powerful, and next elections, I'm pretty sure they will win. I fear that day. If I'm lucky, I won't be there to see it.

I feel incredibly dejected and apathetic to it all, I stopped reading the news because I'm never going to be able to do put a stop to anything, realistically. All a person like me can really do is focus on themselves and their immediate surroundings, and focus on trying to survive another day. I try to focus all my energy on immediate and individual people who I can support or uplift. It's not a fairytale approach, but I feel like it's the most practical option. It's not at all wrong for you to worry, that's only healthy. Your heart is in the right place. I just can't stand to keep my ear to the heartbeat of the world anymore. I can't do "being informed" in the state I'm in anymore.

I think "afraid" is more accurate for me, even though I don't live in the US. Read an article about how people prepare for potential visits and interrogations by the ICE authorities... scary. And sad, that it has come this far.

Not depressed I guess. I think I just don't care anymore. The world is burning. Trump or no Trump this country has been in free fall for decades. I'll be gone before the year is up, it doesn't really matter.

I know for some, they don't care because apathy has gotten to them. But unfortunately I have a bad bad anxiety problem, and also don't have the balls to CTB either, so I'm just kind of paralyzed in fear everyday. That might sound dramatic, but I'm not old yet so it's not like I can go "fuck it" since I'll die soon or whatever. But yeah, it does depress me along with giving me crippling anxiety. Fun.

Yes, but I was also depressed during Biden because Sanders was the clear correct choice and had been on the right side of history his whole life, unlike racist ass Biden. They were never going to let Bernie get the nomination. Ever since then I knew Trump was coming back, so I was ready for it. This country has to get a whole hell of a lot worse before there's any kind of political revolution or progress. The fringe on both sides grows and grows and distracts us from just being good human beings. Money and power rule the world. There are no countries. There are no people.

They've already attacked Medicaid which impacts my ability to receive healthcare and I've been trying for a year now just to get to a doctor who will look at my spine and give me some real treatment. Medicaid barely covers shit as it is (I couldn't even get proper physical therapy because it doesn't cover neck pain).

Next they might go after Social Security which could render me and my elderly father homeless.

But all MAGA can focus on is having their conspiracy bullshit validated and they aren't even getting that much - we already see how that Epstein file release shit was a nothing burger.
