it's a good concept, really, to allow or be tolerant of a person in physical or mental suffering's choice to die. but for some strange reason once society begins to accept and give permission to certain groups of people to do such sort of thing, then gradually over time society's lenience toward the matter is taken advantage of by people, and suddenly it will be okay for anyone to die because it's their choice, and then stretch that lenience out even more and somehow suicide will be accepted as a means of death entirely.
i would only hope that the people who are constantly and will forever be in pain could be the people allowed to commit suicide, but i do get this feeling that capable people who have this urge to die will twist it to suit their agenda. so i'm kind of glad that topics such as this and say, abortion, are so controversial, because it shows that the general public is not so indifferent towards the deaths of human beings that they will allow it.
