Anyone not sleep more than 3 or 4 hours, even with meds?

My psych had me in trazodone, doxepin, mirtzapine, quitipine, and lorazepam.

Nothing helps. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Ruined my life, literally.

Did anything ever work for you?

That's me every night. It's caused by unrelenting anxiety honestly. It's amazing how long I've survived without much sleep at all, feels like at least 6 years now, since 2020.

I understand. The lack of sleep makes me go insane. I haven't found a solution.

I wear ear plugs to block out all noises and take Melatonin. If I take caffeine or nicotine too close to bedtime it interferes greatly with my sleep.

i wish i got sleep without passing out with alcohol. i have never had a script. most i ever tried was melatonin. may as well chuck that in the garbage. i would not recommend alcohol for long term sleep aids. it's f'g me up. i have no idea what my brain is thinking; tired as hell. aches pains everywhere; probably lots of nerve damage... why can't i just go to sleep? it's just unnatural. there are days when i just want even a minute of sleep. once in a while i sleep a lot? not for long. just often. fall asleep for under an hour at a time - just often.

Seroquel at 25mg worked but it's a dangerous drug. Although insomnia is the worst so probably worth it

For me Clonidine hydrochloride helps a lot. Used to take Bromazepam then zopiclone but couldn't sleep more then 5 hours with bromazepam and couldn't sleep 3/4 hours with zopiclone and felt numb with them. I can sleep over 8 hours now with Clonidine

Olanzapine with low-dose 25mg quetiapine (Seroquel) helped me get some sleep. Olanzapine with bromazepam also helped.
But again these are hard drugs that affect the nervous system and can lead to dependence, so please be careful.

Yeah, a big issue for me. My record was a week straight on maybe 6 hours total. And I've been up 48 hours plus several times. Because I have a bad anxiety disorder, there are phases where it's out of control. Currently on Citalopram and Hydroxyzine. Having some success but it's not perfect. Still struggling to actually fall asleep and have a lot of next-day drowsiness.
