So in there was mention of a guy with poor prognosis cancer who attempted suicide. Why oh why is society obsessed with saving people from suicide.
If you attempt it and it isnt a cry for help then my god you don't want to mess it up.

idk why we need to be "save" save from what exactly ? because they are just against suicide so they are selfish AF because just the fact that "we are alive" is enough for them

i had in my DM a guy who wants to "save pretty young girl from suicide" ....

Im being slightly hypocritcal as i really believe some people can be 'saved' and there's real hope for a better life. But even someone who was about to drop dead would be seen as needing saving from themself. Its ridiculous

i think like we can see here every story is different and there is almost hope in everyone even if we are thinking about death or preparing our death it's becuse (according to me) we are hoping a better place or we are seeking peace.
So yes i think people can be saved (depend on the situation)

he claims that he saved 5 girls from here ... and he was about to date one of them soon

as you can see it isn't easy to kill a human body....:My attempt was serious it was not a cry for help I was trying to get out of this horrible horrible body and end my suffering...
it's inhumane that our society denies an end to ANY suffering... we have the capability to offer a peaceful and painfree passing....this is what infuriates me the most…

I kept getting told I will be 'saved' whilst being in hospital. Assholes who just want to prolong my nightmare, my life. It makes 'mental awareness day' seems like a fucking joke. More people to piss us off trying to 'save' us. Nothing is getting resolved. Wish people understand and let us be.

here's the thing....just because one wants to end their life shouldn't make them "mentally ill"......we have valid reasons that should be acknowledged
and an adult should have the
basic right to choose! Saying we will be saved or trying to force us to live a life that isn't acceptable to US is not right!!!! We seem to have rights in all
other areas but this!! i'm not wanting to end my suffering because I "just feel unhappy" I want to go because I am physically compromised and do not want to live like this it's an unacceptable life for me after I've been independent and healthy and vibrant and active to now be hobbling around… It isn't right it isn't fair and now to have people tell me that I can't choose to die seems like even more of a blow… I tried with pills and was dragged off to the hospital when I should've just been allowed to go now there's been months and months of more suffering by everyone it just would've been so much better if I had been allowed to go then... now my only option is to stop eating/drinking

people think that they MUST help especially when it is not about required
when they don't understand they put the "mental illness" label bc they are scared
we don't have any right on our own life and it's f*cking unfair

You have to also keep in mind that keeping you in the system will give them a huge profit. Meaning that they get more money drugging you and hospitalising you rather than than you peacefully ending. The psychiatric industry is truly evil!

Yeah I deleted my post i don't like coming out so angry but this shit really triggers me. It's the worst kind of people that could come to take advantage of people suffering. It makes my blood boil.

I think some of the comments are a bit unfair regarding healthcare professionals we are asked to be treated as individuals I. E. Everyone has different reasons why they want to ctb and that is accepted however people are tarnishing the whole lot of healthcare professionals as all the same. I know that many staff in the profession in the UK have suffered with their own mental health issues and those who do are definitely empathic not just sympathetic and it's easy to identify those people . I honestly don't think I would have made it this far without those from the profession who have helped me. I recognise that not everyone would get the same response I did however I don't think it's fair to say that the comments extend to all of them do you think? Thanks

Yeah he messaged me and tried to get me to talk to him outside of the forum which i thought was very fishy cause i ran into some situations similar like this with other males. He tried to follow me but i blocked him. Based off of what i witnessed now i am glad i did.
