• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Hello everyone,

I am very new here. I am currently inpatient and due to leave on Friday, but the reason why I came here (being very suicidal) is still so very present. I am on a so-called heightened watch where they take your shoe laces and cables and stuff and check on you every half hour (which they do not). I still have one cable I forgot to turn in and my plastic bag (from a grocery store) and I am wondering how likely it would be for me to succeed and if anything would help (like a wet cloth).

I know it's not ideal and chances of success or not high but I am getting so desperate. I want something quick and easy and I know hanging is probably the best but I don't have anything I could hang it from, neither at home.

The best thing to do in inpatient is to play along and get out. Attempts are rarely successful as they do frequent checks. If you are caught, you will just extend your stay and possibly lose what little freedoms you have.

Participate in therapy. Tell them you feel better. Follow the rules. Get out.

I agree. It will be much easier if the system believes you are compliant and healing. Yes, it's deception, but these types of tactics are constituted. I speak from experience that keeping the eye on the prize is the way forward.

Whenever you feel you are losing your nerve doing the above, remember what brought you to this point. You have to get out and lose some of the surveillance to be successful. If anything, you can comfort yourself through this process with how ineffective the mental healthcare system is with handling complex problems. Whatever you decide to do, do it for you. Always.
