If you had the choice, would you take the rest of humanity with you when you die?
Many people choose to go (or, partially) because of their disillusionment with humanity, because of their dislike or even hatred of the world around them, which I'm sure is not an uncommon opinion here. I included disfavour humanity and it's actions and what we have done, and I know a couple other people who share this opinion.

It would be interesting to see actually how many people would (if they could) end humanity with their death?

I wouldn't, the only thing I care about is stopping being this lonely. I don't care about them. Just want to die.

I only want to end my suffering and my pain! What others do with their lives is not my concern. It would be unethical for me to cause death and harm to others during my process of ending my life. I believe everyone has their right to life or death and I'm in no position to make that decision for anyone else besides myself.

No, I don't know enough about the nature of reality as to whether that would be a good thing. Not that I'm particularly religious or spiritual. It's more that I simply don't know. So, I couldn't make such a decision without understanding certain things for sure. Such as- where does consciousness come from? Does it absolutely end when we die? What are the consequences of ending all human life at once? Are there any?

As for extinction- voluntarily via antinatilism or non voluntarily- eg. a much more lethal pandemic, alien invasion, a take over by AI. That's different. That's not up to me and yes- I think this planet would be far better off without us!

I don't see a reality in which I ever would or could. My suffering is my own. Many people here like to talk about the freedom of choice, the right to die. I agree we should all have that right. But that, too, means we should have the right to live. There is no one alive who should have the unilateral right to decide; there is no one alive who knows nor understands enough to be able to make that decision. Live and let live, die and let die.

I wouldn't. I personally don't hate humanity. It's not humanity's fault that I ended up this way. It's unfair to blame an individual's trespasses on humanity as a whole. What you say, humanity has done throughout history, is just the manifestation of the ideas of troubled INDIVIDUALS. It was troubled individuals who influenced and brainwashed the collective society to partake in morally questionable acts. The vast majority of people naturally want to be good people believe it or not. Besides that, I see everybody else around me being happy and able to enjoy their lives. I don't want to take that from them, I just wish I could enjoy life myself. I just want to be happy. Which I've concluded is impossible. I just want to be forgotten, not cause more unjustified suffering. All I want is to be a fleeting isolated hazy memory.

I'm on this forum specifically because I'm a misanthrope who hates that other people feel entitled to decide whether I live or die, so it would be hypocritical of me to want that. It's one thing I can hold over their head, at least.

Besides, there's a more hateful and spiteful part of me that believes life is more punishing than anything I could possibly do to them if given the power and opportunity. My help is not needed.

I'm going to be the oddball and say probably yes. There's no malice in my decision. I guess I just want the world be rid of the human parasite. But if possible, I'd rather have something like a reset button. Maybe humanity could get things right on the second try?

Can you imagine a afterlife full of souls complaining??? Shit.. no..... I think not even "god" can support this LUL .... we're like 8 billion people.... holy crap.... that's a lot.

If worlds get destroyed, if some stupid people press the red button and end with the human kind, I hope there is hell and purgatory to all those "people" to spread a little.
