Method In case of SN failure, will a .22 (low) caliber gunshot to the heart kill me?

Due to a change of perspective, I'm planning to attempt in a few days using SN.

If that fails, I know where I can find a housemate's .22 caliber pistol, but do you think that will be too weak to finish me with a shot to the heart?

Is an equally low caliber rifle any more likely to kill with a heart shot? Thinking about buying one.

.22lr or .22sr are lethal weapons. They have good penetration, especially the high velocity rounds.
