"Suicide prevention" programs have it all wrong. Suicide is a preventative measure. It prevents all the shit that life continues to bring. So long as you succeed, you'll have 100% success at preventing any more shitty days! What other form of treatment has that level of success?

Despite my various rifles and handguns, I still haven't bought a shotgun. But, I know what I want: 18.5" barrel, 12 gauge, using 00 shot. Maybe will get one this weekend. Maybe it will feel good to have it all ready to go.

Death is sparing, it spares us from further harm. I agree, suicide is preventative care if done right.

Indeed, suicide is the best solution. The only problem is that it is too difficult to pull off: If you can press a button and die, I bet 99% of the population would be gone.
