Imagine. No physical or psychological aches or pains anymore. No pandering to your employer anymore or waiting for your next pay check. No more taxes to pay. No past regrets. No existential dread of the next day. The sweet extinction of consciousness. Suicide.

I can live with the rest, except that my painful memories give me CPTSD everyday. I enjoy working, I don't mind paying taxes since I make enough to offset that...as long as I keep on working, eventually becoming my own boss, I hope that time heals my pain. Just a matter of avoiding any more situations that would add more painful memories.

I could handle everything except the physical decay of my body.

I was a very healthy, active person before I fell ill. Having to deal with chronic pain and other symptoms is so overwhelming.

I have no taste for life. But I haven't found the courage yet to pull the trigger.
