Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Wasn't necessarily planning to ctb anyway but the door is always open in my mind, always a slight possibility but I've decided if I get a job by the end of the year, I am staying alive no matter what and fully committing to recovery.(I've applied to numerous places over the past three years). There's one place I'm still waiting to hear back from, do you guys think I'll be able to get a job by the end of the year? Does anyone believe in me? It's so rough in the US rn and especially as someone who doesn't live in some huge city, it feels impossible to get a job unless you know someone 💔 but I won't give up.

We're in a similar situation.

If I get a job within the next 6 months I will be okay, at least for a while. If not I will probably jump off a bridge.
I won't commit myself to recovery because I don't commit myself to anything. But it'll matter. It'll up the odds of a decent quality of life.

I'm not American but the job market here is very similar to the states. Job losses left and right. High unemployment.

I hate the bullshit "market yourself" "network" "make fake business friends" advice but it's really the only pathway unless you're like. An MD.

I hope you do well. I really wish we lived in a better world that didn't make being socially inept/unskilled/just plain not lucky into a death sentence. I think if you can fake being friendly (or if you are actually friendly) you'll make it. And if not? In the states there's the gig economy as a last resort. We don't have a gig economy here

I think if you can fake being friendly for long enough, you'll make it. And if not? In the states there's the gig economy as a last resort. We don't have a gig economy here.
Especially as someone with social anxiety I hate the idea that networking matters more than anything else in terms of actually getting a job 😭 like guys please I can work just give me a chance. Also PREACH on the last thing you said about society making being socially awkward/an unlucky person a death sentence. I've been unlucky since birth, this has LITERALLY almost killed me several times. Why must it be a death sentence? Did we do something terrible in a past life? I'll never know how any of it works. Also sorry if I sound like an idiot but what's a gig economy? Do you mean sexual stuff or is this something totally different? ALSO, I love ur user. At first I thought wouldn't it make more sense if it said "hurts2bhere"? But I realized, it's perfect how it is because it literally hurts to BE. Just to BE.

THANK YOU THIS MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME!!! You guys are so sweet, don't you wish everyone irl could be as understanding as the people here? Why are normal people so judgy to suicidal people? What did we ever do to them? Also you're right death is coming for us all anyway, I might as well try to make something of my life. There were some things I wanted to buy so I'd like a stable source of income.

Hahaha. Maybe we did do something terrible in a past life. I guess we'll never know.

The gig economy is stuff like uber, temp agency positions, and doing chores for your richer neighbors (via apps like gigpig). Essentially jobs that pay relatively low income, aren't long term/indefinite and don't build into careers but that do let you pay rent. The one benefit is that they let you have more flexibility in terms of hours.

And thanks :)
