I'm scared 2022 might be worse than 2021

2021 is the worst year of my life. I had more challenges with mental and physical health, chronic stress, money, work, emotional problems, loneliness, a major traumatic event, COVID restrictions...etc

I used to find ways to lift my spirits and get out of the blues. Not anymore. What if 2022 is worse than 2021? I have always been scared of having a nervous breakdown in public due to stress and/or fear. I think it might just happen.

I'm sorry to hear about your circumstances. I do believe that it will get worse during 2022, but then it might get better afterwards - no one really knows.

Honetsly i'm terrified even from the firt 3 months of 22. There is so much to go wrong. I'm afraid mostly because of the maddness around the wolrd, that is also around me. So what - a war with Russia, why not? Some nukes - yeeep :), More restrictions and killing of economy by aplying more and more dictatorship - cool. Or asteroid, no, that will be too regular, let's make it a comet, flying to earth. Stuff like that, taking all the cash, pushing with control more and more, more inflation, more and more lack of laws, just illegal orders, but who cares, when you can watch some funny cats and dogs, or porn. Taking out private property - even more great idea to fight with people getting poor and hungry, and again will be done multiple times without results, bit it's gonna be the only option to solve that problem. There is so much to goo wrong, and so little to go against it, history shows that such madness always ends up when pushed to the absolute limit between the balance of survival and human stupidity.

2020 and 2021 were extremely difficult for me, I literally have no reason to believe that 2022 will be any better, things are only escalating.

I believe next year will just be more days of the same pointless, empty existence, unless something horrible happens to make things even worse. That is one of the most dreadful things about this life, there is no limit as to how bad things can get. I think if things do get worse, I will instantly find a way to ctb. 2021 has been very unpleasant. I have so much dread for the future. I'm not sure how many more years I will be able to do this. I wish you the best. I understand it is an awful feeling when things just get worse.

2022 looks to be more of the same, except worse. More natural disasters from global warming, more displaced people with no where to go etc. Same shit different year.

I feel similar... many things are escalating and reaching a point of madness. It keeps getting worse and most of those who are aware of these things are powerless to stop it...

2020 was hands down the worst year of my life. 2016 and 2019 were also extremely bad. 2021 was a recovery year for me for the most part. I have nothing to anticipate in 2022. I just hope for death, or the ability to travel overseas.

If we are talking economic instability, threat of imminent wars, ongoing genetically engineered viruses (and that may include COVID), rapid deterioration of the environment, displacement (as someone else in this thread has said), then yes, these things will become increasingly worse and that's not confined to just 2022.

If we're talking actual predictions for the year, I think Tesla stock will continue rising because people fucking worship Elon Musk and other billionaires. We will probably have other coronavirus variants going around and people will continue being fucked medically, financially, emotionally over it. I'm thinking maybe a mass riot in one of the major western countries (not sure which). Probably one more mass shooting (most likely the U.S., let's be honest). Oh, and Squid Game season two is gonna be siiiick.

Personally I'm actually very excited for 2022 because my CTB will happen during the middle of next year and I've been planning it since October of 2020. As for the world as a whole though I can see why it feels like things are either going to stay the same or just get worse with the current trajectory of uncertainty going on. Personally I don't think the covid situation is going to get any better any time soon. South Park was right: we'll still be in this pandemic in the 2060s the way it's being handled.
