I think I've reached really high tolerance levels. It will sound sensitive but I have made a person sad for it and I have really felt bad.

Good luck. Be careful if you're a heavy drinker as alcohol withdrawal can have some nasty effects which could require medical intervention.

I wish you the best.

Yes, I will tell you about my experience. I think it will save me that I have diazepam by my side. If I notice something strange I will go to the ER.

Good luck, as others have said take it easy and hope you don't go into any nasty withdrawal, I am a heavy drinker myself, but not addicted, but can empathise with wanting to quit for the better side!

Are you getting better? Hope you start recovering?
Well, they have been the consequences of events committed under the influence of alcohol. Suddenly I have considered that it was not funny but tragic. And the seriousness and concern of a good person. It was a hard blow.

Good work! Take it a step at a time. Crawl if you have to. I've been in the rain before, it is hell. I wish you luck through it.

Also, are you weaning off appropriately? You might need benzos to come off safely. If you're a prideful man then I recommend you to get rid of that shit. Get medical assistance if need be

It's true. It happened to me on other occasions. And it's dangerous because your tolerance has dropped and if you binge ... you know. The most I have been has been 4 or 5 months without drinking alcohol.

Mucha fuerza y suerte amigo!!

I'll share the links of 3 threads I made about my experience quitting alcohol below.
I haven't quit it at a 100% but I've managed to control it and now, I only drink on Saturdays.
Check my threads out, they might help you:

Remember that one drink will set you back and might cause withdrawal symptoms and cravings again. I haven't had a drink in years ans this is one rule I follow.

Good luck just remember youre probably in for a rough ride for months but it does get better (in regard to feeling you need a drink)

If youve been drinking daily just make sure it's safe for you to stop cold turkey as it can be dangerous, this isn't an excuse to continue but to reduce units daily. If you can already miss a couple of days this is not relevant and good luck.

How are you doing ?
I have improved my sleep, I used to drink at night. I had no withdrawal symptoms, diazepam probably helped me too, although I used to drink with the medication as well. I have been somewhat more animated moments but the depression persists. Like a Ferris wheel. I still don't rule out CTB.

Yes, they warned me that psychological dependence can last 6 months, that is, my mind still considers alcohol, I just don't want any more problems. I have done shameful things with alcohol, it can be said that it destroyed my life. There is no antidepressant to get me up. I keep pretending but I'm destroyed inside (in spirit)

Good luck, I hope you didn't go to hell like me and you can recover.

It seems you're feeling better, amigo.
I'm glad there are no withdrawal sympthoms. I had lots of those and they sucked.

Btw, I drank last night but no hangover today. It seems having a small od of sleeping pills after drinking worked but, I don't recommend doing this, just in case lol.

Fine, thanks. No withdrawal and 6 or 7 days have already passed. The funny thing is that suicidal ideas do not go away. Today I tried to choose a date, but I could not. I have SN and that relieves me. I've been fine for two days but sometimes my mood goes from normal to melancholic very easily

Well, I've only lasted 4 months. It's been just a heavy drinking day though. Afterward, wander the street all night aimlessly.

4 months is an admirable stretch. You returning to drinking or considering this as a temporary setback and bump in the road before continuing sobriety?

4 months can show you you can do it, get through it, and you're worth it :: focus on a sober future rather than drinking past... thats what I do to stay clean ( heroin / khat / gin / whisky more). I've started & stopped & started hundreds of times :: I've lost count.
I've also picked up recently, but am sober today : just for today. Lessons that are difficult are always learnt. Withdrawing a bit but its cool, it reminds me of shit I 2easily forget, & shit I need to figure out.
Dyou know why u picked up? What changed? :: what were you telling yrself?
The thing for me is if I keep using it gets harder and harder to stop. I complicate reasons why I should sober up :: but I'm infinitely happier when I do. Its the insanity of using that I love though learning to live thru it :: from your post it sounds like u picked up and went back to crazy wandering around stuff ( I go back str8 to wierd, risky behavior so fkg fast its scary)
you may have lost cleantime, its only cleantime, you haven't lost (the lessons learnt; yr strengths & fortitude) your recovery.
Be strong, you are not alone.

Good luck. I stopped 5 months ago. And it only got worse. Before I was confident and thought life is great. It helped to numb my feelings and forget I have mental problems. Now it all came back. Funny thing is, I can't imagine ever drinking alcohol again and it was the only thing that was stopping my suicide. Damn.
