If your plan involves internationally traveling, do you tell people or do you dip?

My preferred method is nem, I want to go to South America and search until I find some and ctb. I wrote my thesis on suicide and everyone in my life knows my preferred method is only acdessible in south america, so I'm wondering if I should tell people I'm going to south America or if I should just book the ticket and dip or lie and say I'm going to Asia or somewhere else non-eyebrow raising. What raises most suspicion? I'm not looking to have another foiled plan.

Well, logically I wouldn't give any hints that could be suspicious to anyone. I guess, your suicidal ideation is also known to your family and friends?

If you CTB is going to be a surprise anyway, I don't see any reason to tell the truth.

Nobody knows about my contemporary ideation, but I focused on suicide academically many years ago and actively talk about my pro-choice beliefs regarding right to live and die in day to day life. Those closest to me have extensively heard about my perspective regarding the "best" way to die... so I'm concerned it would arouse suspicion. But at the same time, I travel regularly (57 countries to date) so perhaps people will just assume it's a routine vacation.
