If you were given the chance to see the future, would you take a look at it?

You get a chance to see a glimpse of the future. If you see something bad hapening, then you will have an opportunity to prevent it from happening. However, there is a risk. If you see something good, then it will never happen because you will now become too self aware and accidentally undo everything that would lead to that good thing.

So my question is, would you look at the future, with the hope of preventing something bad, but risking seeing something good and it not happening? Or would you prefer to not see the future?

Either way I'm too curious not to look, but I feel like no-one would believe me if I tried to warn them something bad was going to happen.

Also you could do a BTTF 2 and just abuse it to make money on stocks or gambling.

Of course I would. Even if I know I wouldn't be able to change it, I'd still want to look out of curiosity.

Is it my future or the future of the world? If it's the future of the world, you could just win the lottery every week and have an unlimited fortune, because you always know what the numbers will be.

I'd look. If something good showed up it would give me reason to go on. Pretty confident I could get round the symptoms of resulting excess self awareness negating the good event viewed.

If what I viewed was bad then I'd feel vindicated and justified in my decision to ctb and could use the bad thing viewed to better choose how I leave things for my loved ones.

I do want to see the future. I do think that for me, only suffering and misery lies ahead and if I was able to see how bad things will get, I will make sure to ctb before things get much worse. I just want to know what will happen so I can be prepared.

I would look but I don't know if it could make a difference. If I am alive in the future it will only be in a state of pain. Maybe seeing that reality would help me.
