Overdosing on paracetamol was my thing when I was 14/15

They gave me the liver protective treatment and anti sickness medication.

Od'ing doesn't give you pain.

why do you ask? Out of interest.

I had the worst headache but I was throwing up for 6/7 hours so I think it was more dehydration. Did you have to have potassium?

No I didn't, however a girl I was inpatient with (who suffered from Anorexia) od'd on 70 paracetamol and did have to have potassium.

I didn't have any pain after paracetamol OD, just unconsciousness, and later awful vomiting for 24 hours. Was given fluids, oxygen and the medication that protects the liver from damage.

It's an oxymoron. Get it? OD on pain meds so they give you pain meds for the pain, hence give you more of what you used to OD, enabling you.

All I've heard are horror stories about charcoal, huge amounts of pain, pissing and shitting yourself etc. Painkillers quickly went from my method list. Seems to be the most common method, but also the most failed. Both my parents tried with painkillers, back when information wasn't so readily available, both just screwed their insides up a bit.

Unless I had 200 80mg oxycodone tablets, I wouldn't entertain it. And even then I worry I'd just be high as a kite for 12 hours followed by massive constipation.

well in my case the nurses and doctors weren't that stupid.
I od'd whilst in inpatient and then swallowed my ring that got lodged in my throat. Despite being in an incredible amount of pain the nurse said that I wouldn't be allowed to have any painkillers due to my od.

An oxymoron is a rhetorical device that uses an ostensible self-contradiction to illustrate a rhetorical point or to reveal a paradox. A more general meaning of "contradiction in terms" is recorded by the OED for 1902. Wikipedia

This is what I've heard too, but I would rather take something orally than have the physical pain of jumping / hanging if it would lead to rapid unconsciousness.

Look into SN and N. I'm the same as you, I want to go by ingesting something.

They seem to have clamped down on that, I should have ordered from APCpure when it was first being talked about.

I know what you mean. Life's never easy is it, even when you want to finish it.

I think it would depend on what you would want to take. The first time I had to drink activated charcoal and it was so gross. The most recent time I didn't even have to do that cause I was throwing up so much. The tablets were so chalky and it made throwing up so horrible. The level of paracetamol in my blood was incredibly close to being fatal. It was not worth it at all. I know I'm going to do it again, but for me it's more an attempt to self-harm than to kill myself.

I overdosed on paracetamol at 14. Took around 36 so nothing massive, don't recall any pain just drowsiness. But as others have said, there isn't usually pain and giving more pain meds seems kinda counter productive, especially if you're going to have something like charcoal as well.

Unfortunately od 'ing on any OTC drug to ctb is not possible. Just screws up ur system and lands u in hospital. even benzos od does not guarantee ctb .. It really sucks ...how times have changed. My uncle successfully ctb with sleeping pills and alcohol abt 10 yrs back .. What a diff a decade makes ... Sigh
