Disclaimer: logically souls or rebirth or afterlife don't make any sense and there is no reliable evidence to suggest they are real. We know we are our brains and every feeling you have is caused by electrochemical signals in your brain, that much science has proven. How would souls interact with brain? If the soul added some extra to the system in the brain that would probably break the laws of physics, and no such interaction has been detected.

But still, afterlife worries me. Most religions say suicide is a bad thing, and it usually causes a lot of pain in your loved ones, so if there's karma or judgment or whatever on the other side then the next life might be even worse than this one.

Reincarnation of human to be other people/animal doesnt really make sense to me

But turning into tiny microorganisms is still questionable to me, like how human comes from sperm.

But im worried more about: our body after were dying. Do we really wont feel anything and what happen to every cell?

or are we gonna like paralyze but still can feel a little? What about when the body is decomposing?

Yes, I have also wondered about that. Bodies decompose and are eaten by bacteria and insects and smell awful, it would be horrifying if there's some sort of consciousness still present. But again, neuroscience tells us consciousness is present only when the brain functioning, and the brain isn't functioning when dead.

I've mentioned this before…even if there was reincarnation, I doubt it would be that bad for anyone on here.

If there was reincarnation, couldn't we just ctb in the next life. We would at least have no memories of this one. I don't believe in any afterlife, I think we just go back to the same nothingness we were at before we were born. I personally don't believe in religion, or the idea that there is any punishment. We just don't know really what is after this life for certain.

Funny I have seen a lot of stories over the last 40 years and one stuck in my mind here is the link below, she committed suicide and seems to be OK in the next life.

https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/original-unsolved-mysteries-series.51207/post-965151

If you look at the above link and then scroll down to the next post I have listed, rebirth stories they never wrote books or tried to cash in on their experience.

The talented Barbro karlens said she was Anne Franks in her previous life she was a published author at the age of 12. It was a book of poetry. The book has gone on to be one of the most popular books in Sweden.

Only my opinion I think we get sent back and it's a gamble what parents and life we get next, sometimes brilliant sometimes horrific. On the other hand, there may be fuck all and we are a worm feast, :smiling: but it's our destiny whatever choices we make we all meet the,

Oh dear god, I can't even think along those lines. The idea of an an afterlife is nightmare fuel. One life is enough for me, thank you very much.

I would argue it would it is unethical to promote needless suffering. If death reduces suffering and is desired it has to be the ethical thing. If there is an afterlife and someone in charge that we get to speak to it's at-least gonna get a debate out of me if it disagrees.

There is for sure no way to feel the pain when the body is dead. But many people have fears of being buried alive (getting consciousness back when buried). In that case I would wish cremation after death. It is much cheaper than burial too. Whole process plus right to bury the ashes in relatives grave or other place in churches graveyard costs just about 600 euros here.
I really don't get why all the deceased aren't cremated.

I consider myself agnostic and I believe in reincarnation. I think it's a very personal thing. I believe my body is a vessel. I'm planning on being cremated.
But those are just my beliefs and I have been told I'm insane on more than one occasion.

I don't believe in afterlife. I believe in the nothing, the nothing that I was before I was born, the nothing that was there before the whole universe was born. The nothing will embrace me, an eternal sleep without dreams. And one day everything will become nothing too.
I find it soothing, even beautiful I'd say. I tried to believe in any kind of afterlife but my brain is too basic I guess, I can't get myself to believe in those kind of things.

I think how religious people explain and forgive suicide is the person wasn't in the right frame of mind when the act was committed or that g-d wanted you to die and it didn't matter the method.

If reincarnation is true, it means we had "sinned" a lot in our previous lives to have our current life(because it is shit). So? Do we feel the burden of previous lives? There is no memory. And even that's is true, ctb would be good way to say "Fuck you" to a god who organises things like that.

Your conscious is what makes you "alive" which is connected to your brain. That's why if someone is brain dead, you're basically dead already. It's like when you're sleeping, you don't even know what's going around your surrounding because your conscious is asleep.

Damn guess I'll just have to keep killing myself repeatedly then. But in all honesty, I don't believe there is an afterlife. It can't scare me cuz I genuinely don't believe in it.

Every action has a reaction. So therefore karma does exist. However it doesn't exist as in if someone does something bad to you, something bad will then happen to them per say. It's more so by the action of ending yourself you inflict emotional pain on your family left behind. Anyway know one still knows what happens after death.

Do not worry about it. The most likely is that there is no afterlife, there is no proof of it. Suicide only leads to escaping hell in life.

You're confusing physics (Newton's third law of motion - whenever two objects interact, they exert equal and opposite forces on each other; every action in the physical world has an equal and opposite reaction) with the purely spiritual, unprovable principle of cause and effect that is karma.

If there is an afterlife, I see no reason why suicides would be strictly condemned. For all we know, "God" will be waiting to tell you congratulations for mustering the courage to do it. With that being said suicide is imo a difficult, undesirable but sometimes necessary solution for some people with shitty lives or circumstances.

Interesting. Although im very skeptical about reincarnation and superstition/supernatural

But i read scientific theory about 4th dimension and steven hawking multi universe paper, carl sagan. And it makes me question things. Have you ever seen it? You can google it.

Heres 1 article along with the scientific experiment journal

research:

heres the article and at the end theres video representing how 4d might look like

This is also explanation about 4d

I already consider that myself. But theres a different to hasten things up than prolong it.
In the moment im still searching as much as information i can about death&dying to be able to make the right decision

Although that seem too far fetch because ordinary human has very limited ability and knowledge
Even geniuses still work hard to unravel the truth about death&universe

No. If an existence is so painful and harsh that people want to commit suicide, then it is the creator of said reality that has "screwed up", and not those who are wanting to leave by taking their own lives. Assuming for a minute that an all-powerful entity does exist - they have a lot to answer for, so they are in (or will be in) no position to judge the suicidal.

According to Philipp Mainländer suicide is the only way to redemption. And yes, he killed himself... so at least he wasn't a hypocrite.

Maybe it's better to chose the bullshit story that makes the most sense to you and stick with it. George Carlin said something like when you die you go where you think you're gonna go. I try to comfort myself with stuff like that when I get paranoid about reincarnation.
