If suicide were easy, there would be a fuck of a lot more than one million out of 7 billion every year doing it. Thats 1 out of every 7000 people. The number that actually wishes they were dead is exponentially higher, and the methods available are barbaric, because society does everything they can to keep bots productive to the economy. The problem is that we are nothing more than programmed robots, and the survival instinct is built in to the program, so it's an extremely rare thing to overcome. Our survival instinct is fucking insane.

The "They can kill themselves if they want to" crowd are fucktards who haven't put any real thought into what they are or what reality they're living in. The typical brainwashed nimrod who can't see outside themselves, no sense of empathy.

Sure. We could access some means, but it would take a LOT of work (not guaranteed), and none of the available methods are totally effective or painless. There are effective AND painless means which are presently illegal and inaccessible. The only logical reason I can come up with is that society can't afford to lose the amount of people/productivity/slaves it would lose if it were to legalize access to effective lethal means. I theorize that if society were to legalize access to quick/painless suicide, we would QUICKLY need to adjust how we treat people, and address issues around equality ASAP to stop people from opting out. Which is exactly why we won't. Because as it stands, we can keep a certain percentage of the population living in miserable servitude and they can't do anything about it.

I agree, and if it were legalized, I would go into the funeral business. So many more people would be dying. Why not? When pot was legalized, it created jobs!!

So, here's how we're going to sell this, letting people kill themselves is good for the economy, funeral services sector would need to hire more people, more caskets would be produced, grief counsellors will be needed, crematoriums built. Suicide = good economics. It's the only way it could take off. Who's on board? Lol

Yeah there is nothing easy about it. It's not cowardly or weak. It's the hardest thing anyone who faces it will ever do. I also happen to agree with your wage slave idea and that a lot more people would opt out were it as simple as popping a pill and instantly sleeping forever etc. Not MOST people...but more. Not that I think it's some Dr. Evil organized effort, but it's how people are. They crave power and security and when they get it they will do whatever they need to keep it. From a corner store worker promoted to manager to a national leader to a CEO. Empathy is to me the difference between a good and a bad person. But it's also a curse because you suffer more. I could never profit or gain knowingly at the expense of another's loss or suffering and it enrages and depresses me most will and do. It's how I lost my life...and why nobody will help me regain a survivable one.

Unpopular opinion but suicide would be boring if it were (too) easy. You need a grand gesture to amount to the pain you've suffered. You need to make it count ; if you just had to push a single button available to you 24/7, I'm not that convinced so many more people would do it.

I actually think that if it were easy to suicide and accessible in some painless and non-depressing way , then it would become more of an option that's "always there" . Do you know what I mean? I would be more okay in my day to day life if I knew it would be very easy to end it , and would feel less of a need to do so then.
Because I can hold on another day , for my 8 year old son and other loved ones then, and each day would add to another day, and another. I'm sure of it.
Damn I wish they made it easy, then life would perhaps be bearable again -_-

your thinking is just right, so do not release euthanasia, because the number of people who would submit and print. an economy is not necessary to lose this mass of wretches
