This question just put doubts in me. As shitty as my life may be, it forces me to acknowledge that I'm in a far privileged situation to countless kids worldwide. I'll just pray reincarnation doesn't exist because if forced to choose between living their life or my current one,as suicidal as I am,I'd pick my current one. But then again this is just a dumb hypothetical. There's slots someone that has it worse, it doesn't mean your pain and suffering are less valid

Nonetheless if such events existed. I'd want to redo my life again instead of being reborn as someone else

No
But even if reincarnation a thing you won't remember your paste life because you will get a different body, a different brain,DNA, brain chemical or whatever and it will never be able to make the same version of you. It's possiblity is zero.

Depends on how good life becomes if I get reborn. If I get a better life, then I wouldn't mind if I were born into a shitty life. I wouldn't be just kill myself again and again until life gets good.

I don't mind reincarnating if it means that my brain gets reset.

I feel like I'd probably still commit eventually, but it would probably be until I'm way older if that was the case. I just can't see myself not doing it for some reason, unless something physically prevented me.

That's an interesting thought, and one that I've thought a lot about. I really hate my life a lot and it really sucks, but I always think what if I'm reborn as one of the poor children who have a life of living hell with no refuge. And why? It's really scary, but I just try not to think of it.

This gave me a panic attack ngl, i hope its not true.

But.. what does it mean to be "us"? Like, is this just a series of our exact life repeating for an infinite amount of time? Because if it was any other life, would it really be "us"?
And if the latter is true, wouldnt that mean every future life is.. us ??
Wait.. i just have sprung a million questions…
Edit; wait.. nothing doesnt exist!! Like literally!!!!! WHAT THE FUCK?!

I'm not one bit scared of reincarnation theories. I wouldn't even waste mental energy on them.

I don't see how it would make a difference if either way I'm conscious in this terrible, torturous existence, no matter what I'll always see human existence as an abomination and the fact that humans so cruelly decide to impose this existence causing all this harm and suffering as a result with no limit as to how much one can be tortured is so terrible and unacceptable to me in every way, existence to me is just a mistake and all I want is to erase this existence.

I just want true peace from this existence that just causes endless amounts of torture and suffering with existing beings in agony every second, to exist is the most dreadful, harmful abomination to me that only ever causes all this terrible suffering and agony, to me every second is torture to exist, there's just so much evil in existing. To me human existence is just terrible, dreadful suffering, all I want is to never exist again, to be trapped in this dreadful, horrific reality truly is the most cruel, undeserved punishment, this existence should never be imposed no matter what.

Do you only get reincarnated if you suicide? If it's going to happen after natural death, we're screwed regardless. Or, do you think there will be negative consequences for a suicide in the next life? Do you suppose that's why we are all struggling in this life? Bad karma from a previous one? Our immortal soul is hoping we'll get it right this time?

It's not something I personally believe but then, if we live in these cycles, I'm not convinced we can break free of them. And if we do- for what goal? What do we become instead?

The odds would be pretty good you'd get a life you would want to live. You have to be careful about projecting onto people with seemingly worse or, more accurately put, more disadvantaged lives (I'm assuming you mean primarily materially).

Not enough data to answer properly.
-do i get reincarnated ONLY if i kill myself or no matter what type of end i meet? If former then yea, i'd rather suffer a bit more than risk being brought back. If latter - what's the point of even bringing it up? Actually, that might even speed up the decision in hopes of "reset".
-do i keep memories of the past life or lives or full memory wipe? If former then i'd focus my research on lobotomy or other memory erasing techniques. Or, if possible, how to break reincarnation chain. If latter then, similarly to previous "if", hopes for reset might force my hand to ctb faster.

It's ultimately irrelevant to worry about what happens after death. That answer piss you off? It pisses me off too, but it's essentially true when you realize just how little true agency you're granted from the moment of your birth.

When taking into account the sheer scope of the universe in all of its 'glory', how could we be cosmically special by any means? Assuming reincarnation is the model consciousness follows, chances might be astronomically slim to even be reincarnated as something originating from this world.

We just got "lucky" to incarnate as something so self-aware. This is just my take of course, I try to be realistic in my assumptions but the truth is nobody really knows shit. Good luck OP.

Interesting thought experiment... Omg this is such an unsettling situation to think of... Most probably yes, I'd do it anyway. The situation could be worse afterwards but the potential to have a better life is somewhat appealing. I think of this like this if reincarnation was inevitable... If non existing at all after dying was still a realistic scenario I prefered this though.
