SN seems to be banned in my country as a explosive precursor chemical. If that be the case, is amitriptyline OD the next best option? If so, where may I obtain this medication from?

Feeling a bit desperate..

Tricyclics are a nonstarter in the USA since the mid 1990s, since the rise of SSRIs and the like. Typically no longer prescribed at all, or maybe done on an inpatient only basis. Sorry. They're considered too dangerous, particularly since they react to alchohol quite strongly.

I was actually on Elavil (the proprietary name for amitriptyline) in high school in 1982. (Yeah, I am old.) Went to a keg party knowing I shouldn't drink, but had like two beers to be sociable. I got violently ill off of that little bit. Pity it wasn't shots of vodka, given how my life has turned out.

Unfortunately, OP, @Ironweed is correct. I've only just been given Ami as an aid to sleep but I've been through every single drug you could possibly imagine before they allowed me to have that and they won't give me more than 3 per prescription.

Maybe have a look through the resources thread.

Couldnt you get it off an advert site or deep web if you tried hard enough?
Its certainly in use in my country. My friend attempted suicide with amitryptyline, and she didnt get it specifically for that reason, she had it prescribed to her for her depression. Relatively recently, in 2001 or 2003 I think.
Another suicidal friend of mine found a brilliant lifehack to obtaining lethal drugs - she was a doctor and would write herself prescriptions with whatever she wanted and sign it with her name, then get the drugs from a pharmacy. I can imagine it would be difficult to become a doctor for the sole purpose of ctb, but maybe finding someone who already is medically train and willing to bend the rules a bit would help.

That's not 'bending the rules a bit', that's just completely illegal. Really quite a silly thing to advise.

Are you sure you are not getting confused with Sodium NITRATE? That does have explosive qualities. Sodium Nitrite is mainly used as a food additive for colouring and preserving.

I would go with the ami cocktail then. You can buy the ami online from online pharmacies.

Getting the exact benzos will be hard though

So USA websites won't deliver sn to your country?

Have you considered other methods like The nitrogen mask or bag, carbon monoxide (formic acid method)?

My problem is I'm trying too many methods not deciding on one and doing it.
I saw it on a list of banned/restricted chemicals along with sodium nitrate... I'm not sure if I dare to buy it in the event it's illegal. I'm still considering it but am wondering if in the event that SN is forbidden, how much amitriptyline is needed and if I can get it from a reliable source online.

I don't understand why this is considered an acceptable method.

Time to death is in excess of 24 hours typically, with certain cases taking up to three days to die.

Owning or buying N is a serious crime in my country. SN is potentially illegal. Then, what other solutions that are peaceful is available? Living with family makes it hard..

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Please please read up and prepare before taking amitriptyline overdose.

You need antiemetics, and start taking them a couple of days before you do it.
All the advice I've found recommends something like diazepam AND lorazepam. Diazepam is slower acting but lasts longer, while lorazepam is fast acting but shorter duration.
Tablets can be crushed and put into capsules, or dissolved, or mixed with a little jam or honey etc.
Wash down with your favourite alcohol. Recommended.

My daughter took around 8g of amitriptyline, and some mirtazipine. She did it on impulse. She didn't take any antiemetics. Only some beer. She threw up all over her room. But died in less than 12 hours.
Her death was anything but peaceful. It really cuts me up knowing she died like that.
More amitriptyline would have hastened it.

It is a well recommended method, if you do it right.
I have a pile of amitriptyline (on prescription) but the diazepam and lorazepam are difficult to get here. But I know of a reliable source (illegal)
I can get prescription antiemetics for virtigo.... I get it bad from time to time. The whole place spins round, literally. It's really weird. Need help to walk to the loo and getting on it, can't keep my balance. Everything just spins round. Can last a day or two. Can't sleep cos still spinning when you shut your eyes. Antiemetics sort it out. One to try on your doctor's? Read into it first though, get your facts right before trying it.

as @Lost1804 said, you really need to make this method right but it certainly can be deadly.

the real problem is the preparation, exact doses and time that it may take to kill you, some people repport even 2+ days but i think that it should take less than 12 hours at most.

on a side note, not many people in this forum have suceed with the amitriptyline method, many repport surviving by being found too early or only a few have everything they need and the preparation to do it correctly. but it could be like partial suspension which may be ineffective for most.

still, the PPeH gave it an 8 out of 10 in reliability and that should mean something. because they give SN a 7 and many, many in this forum have succeded with it.

Ironically i should have no problems getting benzos from my specialist if I return to them. But they have never trusted me with amitriptyline (comes with a history of more than 20 ODs during my younger days). Would appreciate any input via pm on getting them from reliable source.

My daughter took a big overdose. We still haven't had the inquest, and hope to find out there roughly how many tablets were involved. The P.M. result stated she took 3 X the lethal dose. But the lethal dose varies on different sites. So we're hoping toxicology will be able to point at a more specific number.
But I was with her the evening before, 8 pm. At noon the following day she had died.
So perhaps it also depends on how many you can get hold of??

3 days wow! Confusing, was considering it, as others say it could take up to 10 hours, but just seen your post. Feeling so disheartened, wishing it could be so much simpler and easier. I need a much quicker method. Any advice?

SN is 30 minutes but in rare cases up to 8 hours.
