To bei honest i will usw the Exit BAG when the time Comes. But it is complicated you Need alot of parts and although they are easy to find it is simply alot younhave to Research beforehand. Compare it to hanging or sn. You Just Need one Thing and IT IS relativly easy to find. If you so it correctly it has a very high success rate. And If you dont you wake Up and with a little oxygen therapy the will BE minimal to No damage. The real Problem is If you so it right and are then rescued. If you are rescued within 5 Minutes there will be brain damage but you will live being aware If you are rescued within the next 15 Minutes there is a very high Chance of you becoming a vegetable. In the pph and on this site, a lot of people mentioned that they don't like the idea of having a plastic bag over their head. It's also a little technical and a little expensive so people tend to want to go for something a little easier.

This is my method of choice. I know for me, buying the actual gas was intimidating and finding the right hose barb was hard.

Right? Usually I can fake being confident long enough to get something but I think I spent like 50 minutes just erratically walking back and forth a block away from the shop. I was so scared of my facade falling apart in the middle of it. Ended up just going home lol.

Why is the right hose bob hard?

It was just hard to find. I asked the associates at the locations but they couldn't help me or the right size barb wasn't available. I had oxygen tubing at home and I was being stubborn about the size of the barb itself so that made it a little harder for me. I had to go online and look for a hardware store that had one and drive there and it was pretty far.

My 40 cft nitrogen tank was rather heavy to carry down to the basement.. at least 30 lbs. Derek Humphry was interviewed in his Oregon home and had the interviewer sit with the bag and tank. (back then he used helium, same system today with nitrogen.. I see if I can find the video title. Couldn't find the video.

I don't think it's as simple as some people describe it. It already starts with the fact that most people
don't like to fiddle around with gas cylinders without technical knowledge. Then you have to
understand how the valves, attachments and hoses work, not to mention finding the fitting parts.

Besides all that, I still believe it's a valid method and with good research and preparation, you can certainly do it.
Personally, I don't consider it because the very thought of pulling a bag over my head scares the shit out of me and
for this reason I would surely fail.

I Tested it a few Times. The BAG does Not scare me. I use a clear but thick BAG. I Tried what would Happen when i Just Close the BAG. I Got drowsy very quick so i think with the n it will be fast for me. Physiology is different for everybody

I ordered nearly everything online except the turkey bag. I'm in the US so it might be different in other countries but it was easy to find everything online here. It helps, in my case, that I am very familiar with compressions fittings, tanks and regulators and such. Without going back and actually checking, I believe my total cost was about $350, and that included a quality presssure regulator and flow meter.

I can see though where someone not familiar with these items could be very confused over what to buy. Also, I had to do a lot of math before deciding on what size tank to buy largely because of having to convert between liters and cu. ft.

Yeah the liters in cu was a Nightmare. I hate Mathis. XD

I tested for any holes by filling the bag with water before putting the elastic on, etc... so I am assured there are no leaks.

For me it's too technical and too many things that can go wrong for me who doesn't have any training or education in the technical side of it.

No dont make it airtight. You Need to ne able to breath away the CO2. Nitrogen IS slightly Lighter than Air. So If you sit in a Chair you cant Fall Out of easily or in the Corner of a Couch or room the nitrogen will Push the CO2 Out of the BAG. Therefore the Tube should be Quite high in the BAG. Otherwise it could Happen that your Body realizes it has No oxygen which would let SI kick in. Also one has to breath Out Fully before Putting the Hood on.

It will, it's an inert gas. It is also still lighter than co2.

I Tried it without Gas so ofcourse my lungs Started to burn. I Just wanted to see how it would bei without Gas but it was Not AS Bad as i expected

20 liter/min = 40 cu ft/hr
10 lb. tank holds 40 cu ft
27 liter = 1 cu ft 40X27 = 1,080 liters
20 cu ft tank - 15 liter/min for 36 minutes
40 cu ft tank - 15 liter/min for 72 minutes
