First to explain a bit.

I use some pain meds for managing chronical pain

For years i have also had crippling anxiety as addition to physical and other mental problems that come from car accident and losing loved ones.

In sea of physical problems no one is considering or taking mental ones seriously.

About two monts ago i had meltodown and panic attack. I missed appointment because i couldn't pick myself, and when i explained to my family doctor she sent me to psychiatrist.

So he gave me Alprazolam. It helped a bit with control of anxiety. I took it for two months. Ten days ago i went for regular monthly appointment and new doctor took my case, old one went to another hospital. New doctor cut me from 2x Xanax to one Diazpeam a day for next month and citalopram.

Well it's bad again. Meds are not doing nothing, diazepam is just like dizzying me.out but im spiraling. Doctor doesn't want even to consider giving me Xanax back :(.

Has anybody else had similar problems, how did you solve it and do you have any ideas. How bad is self medicating with someone i already had. Also i tried buying Xanax but they won't sell it.

Benzodiazepines are a serious medication that can lead to dependence fairly quickly. They all work the same but have different half-lives and depending on the dosages you are and were using, the sudden change was likely not good for your body.
Tapering needs to be done with the right equivalent dosages and half lifes. Read more here:

I understand tapering and concept. Nurse explained me, not ahole doctor.

I don't want to tapper i want anxiety to drop down, and back to recive Xanax. I want to know what to ask from doctors. Any tips and experience in dealing with doctors would be good.
