luke helder. ted k. connor sturgeon. all had messages to push but realized that personal philosophy never spreads far without some heinous act to place your name in an article and thus incite the sleuths of the internet to dig up as much on you as possible.

i don't know why i am so obsessed with wanting to be heard, by strangers at that. there is something so intriguing about being able to exist on the internet after passing. digital life after death.

i'm no murderer, therefore my note won't spread far. i've thought of recording my suicide to get my name along with my story out there. blasting my head off for an audience of a livestream is what i'd like to accomplish before my passing. just to exist for a couple of seconds in someone's mind as they browse WPD or whatever the current alternative for liveleak is, as my body lays in dirt.

no one wants to listen while i breathe. can i force them to with my death?

None of these people have lasting attention, no one cares about them. Blowing your brains out live will only makes you a clown for sick people on a gore forum for a few days, because so many people have already done it.
genocide is unlikely to give you lasting fame either, unless you kill A LOT or send a message.

Probably not. Your suicide not or testament or manifesto will probably be read by the police and your close ones and if you're really lucky friends of your closed ones, but that's it. Suicide happens every day and is far too common, as that anybody would care for what you had to say. I don't think you can do much about it either.
just to exist for a couple of seconds in someone's mind as they browse WPD
But even for the really famous ones like Shuaiby and McNutt, there is barely anyone, who cares for what the person's thoughts, problems and circumstances were. Mind you, these are the unrealistically to achieve famous ones, but there is thousand and thousands of more documented and filmed suicides, where nobody cares even a bit.

I personally think, that it's not worth putting effort into one's remains after suicide. You can do whatever you want, but the items that were important to you are going to be thrown away one day (for some after a few weeks, for some people in 50 years, but certainly it will happen), the people who grief you, will eventually die. the people who vaguely knew you from work or uni will forget about you and die too one day, and all your thoughts, spoken and written words will be forgotten too and so will be your suicide video and testament or manifesto. Time is the great equilizer and eventually we all will be forgotten.

That being said, it might be worth it writing a suicide note, for people who maybe actually care for you, like your close family (if you have that, that is). It will be forgotten too, but maybe you see some worth in it nonetheless.

Ehh you are wrong. Very much so. How many have actually sat and read Ted Ks manifesto. Very few. They are passed off as mentally ill and immediately everything they've ever said is disregarded. The fastest way to silence someone is to say they are mentally ill. You don't get a message heard and received by murdering. You just don't. Look at Cruz. Part of the court proceedings took away his voice for good. Meaning he can't even say anything if he wants. The goal is to silence. So no you won't get your message out that way.

And yet, the names of people from the past I find most recognisable are folk like Florence Nightingale, Jonas Salk, Christopher Columbus, Neil Armstrong … none of them associated with any great atrocity. But rather with benefiting others or great acts of exploration or discovery.
If you truly wish your name to be recalled after death I'd suggest trying to just be the best and most helpful person you have it in you to be. That way you'll not only have a better chance of being remembered … you'll be remembered kindly and with affection.

What a very good thing to say @SVEN. And beyond a life of discovery, is a life of service. Don't forget Mother Teressa and those who've served like her. They discovered nothing except what love for the most vulnerable can do. I put her at the top of any list.
And, yes, that's ultimately what we are all here to try to do, to try to be the best version of ourself.

haha i'd never want to be compared to a fraudulent woman who purposefully denied her patients adequate medical care. i wish more people were informed on her controversies as there are many that shun her deserving of her notoriety.
