We didn't really have a choice with being alive. We do have a choice with our exit, thankfully. Justifying? I don't think we should justify it. Personally, I believe it's our right to leave when we see fit. ♡

Because religious fools want every opportunity to control every aspect of everyone's life whenever possible, and that includes their death and even after your death. Cruelty is the point. No reason is good enough for them. They take away your right to an abortion for the same reason. Not because they care about lives, but because they want to cause suffering.

For those who aren't trying to control everyone, it's likely out of fear. It hurts to lose someone you care about. They're so blinded by terror they can't bear to open their eyes and realize how they are harming those around who are suffering and need a humane way out.

In a nutshell it's about power, control, and fear.

i always saw that as not a attempt to justify but to rather explain. kinda like telling a family member where you are going before you leave the house, its just basic courtesy more than anything else for me.

I think it's absurd to suggest that someone needs to justify why they want to leave on their own terms, we are all going to die anyway whether there is a reason behind it or not and we aren't obligated to continue delaying the inevitable. I don't get what is supposedly so valuable and beneficial about existence to the point that choosing to be free needs to be justified.
